Our waitress was fantastic
Although the restaurant was less than 1/4 full for Sunday brunch, it took over 2 hours for our party of 5 to complete the dining experience. We thought that would be enough time to get to a movie we'd booked, but we barely made it and had to leave some of our party behind to flag down someone so we could get the check. Some ordered items were never delivered, and the main courses were served an hour after the order was put in. Nothing special ordered, all items were menu standards but there was no particular sense of urgency to get our food out. Parts of the dishes were cold. Service was friendly but very inefficient. Good value, but this standard of service in the competitive environment of dining out is unacceptable.
Menu was not the menu on website. Besides of hockey game next store it was limited menu. This is unacceptable and they should advertise this fact.
I wouldn't recommend Saddle Ranch Chop House unless all you want are appetizers and drinks. My wife and I will not return. The entrees $$$+ expensive but the quantity is large. That does not make up for mediocre or sub-par food. I ordered the Rib Eye steak and it was without any doubt the toughest piece of meat I have ever been served in a restaurant. I ordered it medium cooked and it was well done. My wife ordered the salmon entrée and was pleased, I thought it was very mediocre. We had 4:00 pm reservations and the place was empty, we were the only diners present, a few others were at the bar. So the food quality was not the result of the cooks being busy. Our server was nice and helped us with the somewhat complicated menu of side dishes available with the entrees. We tipped her nicely but I hope she did not have to share it with the cook staff.
Everything was great this visit except the food took a very long time to come out. We arrived with plenty of time to enjoy our meal before the concert. Ultimately, we were late. Some of the orders were incorrect, but not that big of a deal. Service was very friendly. And even though our table wasn’t ready , made the effort to accommodate.
Reserved a table for 515 pm. Arrived early but they would not seat us until our reservation time. Went back at 510 and they didn’t seat us until 550. The restaurant was taking walk ups instead of seating us and we finally convinced them to seat us as our event started at 7.
Meal arrived in 50 min which was understandable as it was very busy. We finished and were waiting to get our bill so we could make the show but our sever had disappeared. Finally found him 15 min later - the place was empty but he had no interest in getting us out of there quickly.
We made reservations for a table for 4 prior to a hockey game. The reservations didn't seem to make any difference, some people who stood in line got in before we did. We got in about 20 minutes after our reservation time. Some of the food was pretty good, but some wasn't. A beef dip was 70% fat, other parts of the order didn't arrive. By the time it did come, it was cold. There wasn't time to replace the beef dip; to their credit, they didn't charge for it. The staff was friendly, they were very busy due to the hockey game rush.
We took 10 friends for happy hour at 4:00. The web page said happy hour Monday-Friday from 3-6. There were no happy hour prices and for example I paid $14.62 for one margarita which was not listed on the menu. The food was okay but not worth the prices charged. I have gone there other years before a game and have been satisfied with their menu and prices. I will not go back. I was sorry I brought friends there.
Menu not the same as menu online, warm beer glass, mediocre food, worst thing though, was that our food took WAY too long to be served (over an hour from when we ordered). We were a table of 4, ordered 2 burgers and 2 salads. Our server was apologetic but it just took too long and was cold and just not that good when it finally did come out.
This was my first dining experience; somewhere to eat before the Coyotes hockey game. Despite how busy and crowded they were, our service was outstanding!!!
We expected the restaurant would be busy because of events at the arena and stadium. We had a reservation and were seated shortly after arrival. Our server (Tracy) was excellent. The kitchen, however, was very backed up so the food took a LONG time to arrive. When the food did come it was lukewarm and mediocre.
The other thing that we were not aware of based on information on the website is that there is a “limited menu” for events. One of the reasons we chose this restaurant was for certain items on the menu that were not available.
It toon and hour to get our food, it was cold and the steak was horrible for the price.
The restaurant was not busy at all when we arrived for our 6pm reservation. We were about 10 minutes early and it took a few minutes to get the hostess to understand we didn't want to sit at the bar but we had a reservation. Once we were seated it took another several minutes before our server arrived apologizing that it took so long. It took over 30 minutes to get our food while several other tables (that arrived after us) received their order. The server shows up with an appetizer (not ordered) and said it was on the house. The manager finally delivered our order but didn't apologize for the delay at all. When the server came to check on us I asked her if the long wait was normal for this restaurant. She explained that because one of us ordered a baked potato it took longer because the potatoes are not normally ready by 6pm. I gave her a look of disbelief. By now it was almost 7:30 and we were pretty frustrated. She shows up with a "free dessert" which we declined and asked for our check. When the check arrived she said they gave us a 15% discount for all of the issues. I explained that with all the problems it should have been that manager that intervened and came over to apologize. We paid the bill and promptly left. We will not return.
We were disappointed with our experience. They had a very limited menu compared to what they advertised on their website menu. We were so excited to dine here as we selected this venue specifically because of what they offered in the area, but left after having a drink. Our server pressured us to stay which was inappropriate but understandable since the place was dead.
Advice: Call ahead to see if they have their full menu being offered.
Satisfied Returning Customer. Prime Rib is always worth it.
We had a wonderful time the service was wonderful and the food was fantastic!
Food was not great, service was good though
We had a reservation for a large party at 4:15. When we arrived, the person who greeted us had no knowledge of our reservation, so had to arrange some tables. When we sat, no one greeted us and we had to ask for a server.
After that, everything was great . Christian was our server and he was amazing, very accommodating for our large group. Starting from behind, he did everything he could to make us happy, with a great sense of humor. On top of that, the good was really great. Very casual environment, great service (eventually), and great food.
Long wait for service. About 20 minutes. We were checking the menu of another restaurant when a waiter finally arrived. Other than this fumble, it was a a good meal with awesome drinks.
Went on a game day so menu was limited to accommodate the bigger crowds. Still good food and service was good.
We ate at the restaurant on NYE at 6:30 PM. The restaurant was not crowded. We were given a menu with very few options compared to the menu online. Our waiter was good but it took a long time to be greeted and asked if we wanted drinks. Our salads came out after the food and the food was cold. We told the server and they took the food back. It came back immediately and it was still cold. Our waiter bought us a shot which was nice but we left really disappointed.
Had reservations but waited in a long line in order to check in which made us run late. Waited about 30 minutes to get drinks and had not even ordered food yet. We asked for our check after the drinks were delivered and left without eating dinner because we were on a schedule.
The table was sticky and the glasses were not totally clean so we were hesitant as to what the food would be like. It felt more like a low end bar than a chophouse.
The waiter felt bad and tried to be accommodating which we appreciated but overall it was a poor experience. We will not return
1st of all there was a hockey game so limited menu which is not shown on website that i saw. Dinner was served and no utensils. Asked hostess and instead of finding us something it was basically not her problem. 3rd service was very poor and slow. Waited over 15 minutes for sweetener finally asked someone else . Would not and will not recommend and will not return.
While visiting the Westgate location on a Coyotes game night, we were greeted and seated right away because of a reservation. Our server was slow, unfriendly and seemed put out with simple requests such as asking for napkins, eating utensils, condiments and refills. We had to ask for everything and each request came one at a time. The appetizer was good and the burger would have been good if we would have been able to eat it hot, but because we had to wait for condiments, it was not enjoyable. This experience was unlike a previous one in a California location and would hope it was an isolated one. I don’t mind paying the okay prices for the food, but when it can’t be eaten fresh, it isn’t worth the price or the experience.
I made a reservation online for Nee Year’s Eve dinner prior to the Coyotes game. When we checked in, the hostess offered to seat us outside or we could be put on the waitlist. I questioned why we had to wait and was told repeatedly “we have a lot of reservations.” I would have booked elsewhere if I had known that a reservation did not actually reserve a table.
Restaurant was very busy and did not honor our Open Table reservation. We ended up getting seated outside on a cold day, which ended up being fine, but irritation that reservation was not honored. The person who greeted us could see that we had made the Open Table reservation could see on her phone that we had made the reservation, but she was only honoring reservations of people on her hand written list who apparently had reserved direct with the restaurant. The evening ended well this time, but raises serious concern about confidence in making an open table reservation.
They had a special menu which I was not expecting. It was very limited due to the fiesta bowl, which I understood, however, it was the next day that we were there and it was very limited! My husband asked for the burger but wasn’t even allowed to have it cooked they way he wanted. It had to be medium. Seriously?? They had breakfast on the menu but we couldn’t really have it and then the waiter, being nice, brought us, a hummus and salsa and chips platter that he said was on the house... well of course he tried to charge us for it when the bill came.
All in all, I won’t be rushing to go back there.
Very limited menu and food was average. Chicken was dry. Hostess tried her best, so this made it better than it was turning out.
We arrived and we were seated right away. However it took more than 20 minutes for a waiter to greet us. We went ahead and ordered our food and waited about another 30 minutes. We were served our entrees and our steaks were cold. Our baked potato was cold and butter would not melt since it was cold. Our food probably would have tasted good if served hot. I didnt think paying $105 for a dinner of 2 was worth it, food was cold and service was poor and slow.
Food took long, came to the table cold and when returned back to table, other items were missing so we had to wait for server to bring them. They tried to rectify the situation by bringing us 2 cheap looking small slices of pie.
The tables were filthy. I mean you could scrape off the caked on dirt off with a putty knife. The paper menu stuck to it, and had to be perl it off the table. Their website shows a great menu, but they don't use it, they use a special menu. Very few items on it. Took too long to get the food, and then it did not arrive as described. Food was highly over priced, for what was served. Service was lousy, waitress dropped dirty utensil on one person in our party and got bbq sauce all over them, and wasn't even apologetic. Had to wait for check way too long. Thumbs Down on this Restaurant
There was a limited holiday menu that didn’t offer many options. The turkey dinner was dry and tasted like the food was days old. In addition, our waitress appeared not to want to be working on Christmas Day.
We were there with kids and grandkids totaling 15 people. Service was great, waitress very friendly and accommodating everyone's wishes. Only complaint was beef on French dip was v Ray tough. Horseradish great. We will go back
We were asked when we arrived if we wanted to wait for a table that was away from the bar, we said yes because we knew by the bar meant the bartender would also be our server. We were then seated ‘near’ the bar and guess what, the bartender was our server. To no fault of the server, the service was not very good because she ended up being to busy to do both jobs. They knew this too and offered us free dessert. We ordered the S’mores, after waiting almost 15 minutes to make ‘do it yourself’ S’mores the server told us they kitchen didn’t make it because they were out of sticks. We asked if they could sub fork, which they did and we waited several minutes for this. Not a good experience. The food on the other hand was fantastic. Wow! Everything tasted great.
At least after sitting there wait 15 minutes and no one showed up place was almost empty so I called and canceled our reservation with next-door to a fine restaurant with a service immediately and the service was excellent which is also in OpenTable but we just walked in I’m not recommend this place to anyone very poor service very poor concerning the review was supposed to be great
Hostess did not honor our Open Table reservation. Stated it wasn't on her sheet that she printed the day before. Was rude and unconcerned that we had made a reservation earlier in the day. Food was average. The waitress we had was excellent.
How does a bar on game day "run" out of Bloody Mary's at 11am? Poor service. Constantly asking for refills and beers. Waitress brought out an extra shot and took it away after we drank half because it was an extra. We will not be back.
We were extremely disappointed in this Restaurant. The food was horrible, the table was sticky and the restrooms looked like restrooms you expect to see in a bar, not a restaurant with "Chop House" in its name. The only thing good we can comment on was the service. Our waiter was extremely nice and super efficient and food came out in a timely manor. It really was a disappointment for us considering the amazing location this place has as well and the name of the restaurant.
Our server Genesis was awesome. We brought a friend in for her first time for her birthday. Food was great.
Server tried but was new and forgot to put in the order for everyone. She also put in wrong orders for some. The Kitchen sent out the wrong orders a couple of times. Drink prices were ridiculous.
We finally ended up leaving after rushing down and sharing whatever food we received. We will never go back
