Inspired by her flavorful travels, Candy DeBartolo set out to bring something different to North Tampa’s food scene: a dining destination where everything that happens around the table is considered sacred—a place where every detail matters. Together with her team of passionate experts, she opened Sacred Pepper to provide the community with new twists on classic favorites in an inviting atmosphere. Locally sourced ingredients and made-from-scratch pastas and sauces highlight a Contemporary American menu with dashes of Mediterranean flair. Cocktails are inspired by cultures from around the world as well as modern, traditional, and pre-prohibition tastes.

Kurt is a fabulous server! We’ve had him before, and he is so relaxed, attentive, helpful and enjoyable!
This is our favorite spot; we’re here often, and we love to introduce friends to your restaurant, which is what we did last night.
We live in the neighborhood and are so thankful we don’t have to drive to South Tampa to get a South Tampa quality meal, service and atmosphere!!!!!!
my reservation was at 830pm and i still had to wait for a hour for my table to be ready that was the only issue i had
Food and Service were Excellent, Music was good BUT WAY TOO LOUD, COULDN'T CARRY ON A CONVERSATION TO SAVE YOUR LIFE.
just turn it down 2 notches and you would of gotten a 5. Don't let the musicians become primoddonas.
Great as usual but same complaint as always. Music WAY too mound. Can’t hear person sitting next to you !!
We were disappointed this time around. We were seated in the side room and the music was still way too loud. People were shouting to converse with one another. Food and service were just okay.
Wow is the best way to describe this place! The food was excellent, portions are large, the service was fantastic and the music and atmosphere were also great! We went to celebrate a birthday and will be going back very soon. The appetizers (shashito peppers and cheese fries), main courses ( filet, shrimp fra diavalo, chicken parm and lobster&crab stuffed pasta), sides (Brussel sprouts, mac&cheese and creamed corn) and dessert (berry shortcake) were all delicious!
Go here as soon as you can get a reservation!
Food and service was great. A little noisy for me but otherwise all good
Our server David was a delight! He made sure that we were comfortable with what we were ordering on the menu also made suggestions and was very attentive to my table
Dinner was outstanding. Love everything about the place.
Great food snd drinks
Tony is an excellent server. He is friendly, professional and attentive. The presentation of the meal was very good, and the food was good. I highly recommend the creme brulee, it was amazing!!
Food was great service was great would 100% go back again! The desserts were amazing!
The food was not what you'd expect from the serious quality of the place. Soggy veal, minuscule portion of swordfish. Dessert were excellent.
We love the Sacred Pepper. It is a neighborhood gem. Everyone from Chef James, manager Chad Bash to our favorite servers Andrew and Gabby does an amazing job. The menu is varied and they have exceptional specials of both food and beverages. The restaurant support neighborhood causes such as Quantum Leap Farms which provides Equine Therapy for adults and children. The chef puts together monthly wine dinners which feature several courses not available on the regular menu. These dinners are where the Chef and his team truly shine. Candy DeBartalo has given Carrollwood a gorgeous, upscale place to dine and mingle.
The crab cakes were fanatstic. The Angus burger was one of the best I have ever had
Great menu with meals well-prepared. Shishito peppers and calamari are top appetizers, with the latter large enough for a meal. My wife and I had the ravioli and baked lobster and crab rotolo, both we awesome. Meals came on heated plates and each had a nice presentation. Service was truly exceptional both at the reception desk and tableside. SP has a clean, well-appointed interior and a killer bar area.
As always, the food was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable.
A lot of noise for a very nice setting. Service and food are excellent
Always a great experience
It has taken us forever to get here, but I am so happy we finally did. The drinks were amazing, and the food was out of this world. I cannot wait to go back again! I loved the fact that they had live music and dancing. It was loud, but we could all still hear one another speaking.
Good music but
a bit loud
Dinner was good, but don't bother making a reservation. Always 20 minutes because of young girls without proper training and management assistance.
We waited over 20 min with a reservation. The live music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other or our waiter. Food was good but don’t go there on a Saturday night if you’re looking for a conversation
Sacred Pepper is a wonderful restaurant overall. The food is fantastic. It gives a modern twist on traditional American fare. In addition, the ambience is amazing. It’s dimly lit, there is live music, and it’s just a really dark romantic and sexy vibe. This is our second time dining at Sacred Pepper and it will not be our last.
Excellent service, food was on point and great ambience.. Would definitely go back.
Excellent food and service!
Had a 5:45 reservation. Hostess placed us in the middle of high traffic area near hostess Station. Restaurant was half full. Hostess could not have been more rude when we asked her for a better table and refused our request. She never smiled all night as we had to look at her our entire stay. Food was great, service was great but Hostess made a terrible first impression.
Service was GREAT and informative….Food was amazing…5stars!!!
The atmosphere is always very nice: the live music was exceptionally good-the pianist and the vocalist were fabulous. Cory was our server and he provided excellent service. This was a Thursday night date night with my husband!
The extreme noise level about two years ago made me hesitant to go here again, but, I took the chance. The noise level this visit was moderate, but acceptable. It appears that management has decided to operate an upscale restaurant instead of a night club and what a pleasant surprise!! As to the other dining experience factors, the food was first class, wait staff was super, and the ambiance was romantic. Way to go Candy and company!!!
Quality restaurant with amazing food, excellent service, great prices. Love the interior decorations with very comfortable chairs! Will be back for sure!
Service and food is always excellent. The staff is courteous and efficient. Would recommend to anyone who wants a nice dinner experience.
Great experience. Best calamari and service!
The ambiance and the food were amazing. We had an awesome server named Lauren (I think) and she made excellent suggestions with food and drinks. The cocktails were very good. We had a table of 6, all of our food came out together with the right temperature. We will visit this place again!
