Inspired by her flavorful travels, Candy DeBartolo set out to bring something different to North Tampa’s food scene: a dining destination where everything that happens around the table is considered sacred—a place where every detail matters. Together with her team of passionate experts, she opened Sacred Pepper to provide the community with new twists on classic favorites in an inviting atmosphere. Locally sourced ingredients and made-from-scratch pastas and sauces highlight a Contemporary American menu with dashes of Mediterranean flair. Cocktails are inspired by cultures from around the world as well as modern, traditional, and pre-prohibition tastes.

The Sacred Pepper is such a lovely elegant restaurant that just fits with the fabulous food. Our server Kara (I think) did an outstanding job to make my birthday celebration fun.
Girls night out, burrata chicken was really good with a delicious Brussel sprouts side with balsamic glaze and bacon. Butternut squash soup was very light and delicious. Finished with crane brûlée which was Ok, not the best I’ve had. Much quieter than on the weekends.
We had a vegetarian, pescetarian, and two omnivores in our party. The menu had many options for all of our tastes and everything was delicious! On top of the amazing food, the chairs were comfortable, the wait staff was professional and the atmosphere was relaxing. The food and drinks were a little higher priced than average but worth the extra money! Thoroughly enjoyable!
Fantastic. Enjoyed small plates, salads, dessert, delicious coffee and wine.
Great spot, great menu, beautiful bar, with food and drink to match. Several specials at lower prices sometimes to appeal to everyone. Make a reservation and they will honor the time.
I was disappointed with the seafood appetizer. It mentioned snow crab as part of it and we received 3 small claws. I mentioned it to the waiter and he agreed it was misleading. Nothing happened. We were also put in a room that is normally for big groups that had tables back to back. This was not Valentine's day. It was a Sunday night. The entree was good but the night was already ruined.
Always good to go to this restaurant either for brunch or dinner!. Great ambiance, delicious cocktails, excellent service and food, what else can you ask for?
Love this restaurant! You forget where you are ambience is great as well as service and food is delish!
Much too noisy. Chairs hard to move on carpet. Consider gliders on chairs so it’s easier to push In and back.
Very disappointed at having made a 6:30 reservation in the bar area and when we got there were offered a table within 3' of the band (loud). No other tables available except in side areas where you couldn't enjoy the ambiance and band.
We ended up at the bar.
Last time we were there our seats were held and we loved the bar area. Since we ate at the bar we missed the excellent service we had there last time.
Food was excellent, however, think it was high priced for what we got. My boyfriend got the special - the halibut with (supposedly) lobster chunks on top. It was good, but I was embarrassed for him at how SMALL the little sliver of halibut he got was, and the 2 teeny tiny chunks of lobster on top. For the price, definitely not worth it! My grouper piccata was very good, and at least my piece of fish was a little bigger, so I was able to give him some of mine. The food was excellent tasting, but for the price, just not worth it. I had to fix my boyfriend a snack later in the evening because he was hungry, after paying as much as he did for dinner. Embarrassing, especially since I had suggested we try Sacred Pepper. Maybe other entrees are 'larger' portions? Guess we would try it again to see since the food was good.... but...
The restaurant is broken down into three sections -- a bar area, a more intimate bar/TV watching area and a restaurant area. The decor is stark and modern. They have no booths per se, but tables along walls where one side is a bench and the other a chair.
The food is eclectic with a pretty wide variety of items to choose from as their name sake "Pepper", through pasta dishes and seafood, steak and chicken.
Their Ahi Tuna appetizer has a nice mixture of tuna and avocado in a nicely seasoned ponzu like sauce with some crisps to give it texture. Their chicken "with cheese on top" (Burata) is nicely seasoned and placed on top of Brussels sprouts. Very yummy indeed. Their short rib with pasta was nice and they allowed a substitution of the type of pasta to linguini.
A good time was augmented by friendly service and good drink.
The ambiance was fantastic. I liked the decor. The atmosphere was perfect. The food was amazing, cooked perfectly. The staff and service was amazing. I will definitely go back
We enjoyed our dinner at Sacred Pepper.
I love the atmosphere! The food was delish and the service was quick and timely.
I have already recommended the restaurant and would be happy to visit again for a special occasion. The prices reflect a special occasion restaurant.
The live music was an added special touch. We were happy to enjoy the live music as a noted surprise!
When we arrived, my reservation was at 4:30 due to availability on Valentine's weekend, the music playlist from the recorded music was kinda loud. I think it was due to the time and the amount of people there at that time..when more started arriving, the volume was a non-issue.
I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the live music, but we wanted to free up our table as courtesy to our waitress.
I took my wife for our Anniversary, I advised the hostess that we were dining for the first time and that it was our wedding anniversary. When we were seated they attempted to seat us at a multi table with our people, I had to again inform them this was our anniversary and would prefer a more intimate and private table. The food was ok, and the music although good was entirely to loud. Doubt that we will return
My wife and I had such an amazing experience. We loved our server, she was very nice and always available. We will definitely return soon. Thank you for the wonderful service that allowed me to give my wife such a romantic evening.
Wasn't sure what to expect, honestly thought was going to be another overpriced, foo-foo restaraunt, and was pleasantly surprised in all aspects. Prices are not cheap, but if the quality of food is good, I dont mind paying for what is deserved, and it was worth it. Great food, service and atmosphere. Nice to find a restaraunt with ambiance, where you can go be an adult, and enjoy your food as well as atmosphere. We loved it. Definitely going back.
Waitress was excellent. Far superior to most restaurants in Tampa. Chicken Parmigiana was awesome!
Kinda close quarters between tables. We sat next to a booth and there wasn’t 10in between us and the couple next to us. The live music was fun but man was it hard to have a conversation there. Service was great. The food was superb. And the drinks were amazing.
Lovely ambiance and excellent service. It's clear that Sacred Pepper's management knows how to wow their clients. The food was tasty and beautifully presented.
Food and service was excellent! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Always a great meal with great service and ambiance including live music!
Family from out of town
The restaurant itself is beautiful. Decor is modern and upscale. Service was great. Our server was knowledgeable and patient. Attentive without being hurried.
We had the crab cake appetizer which was very good. We were less enthusiastic about our main courses. They were..... adequate. I didn’t hate it, I liked it enough, but I wouldn’t rush back to order it again. It was just ok.
It was frustrating however that we were only able to get 5 pm reservations on Open table. I called the restaurant later that morning and asked if it were possible to move the reservation to a later time, even if only 15 mins. I was advised they were ‘conpletely booked’ that evening. So we rushed to make our 5pm reservation, were met with a completely empty restaurant except for the bar area, ate appetizers, drinks, and our main course, left an hour and half later to a still fairly empty restaurant. I was confused about the inability to move our reservations, when the ‘completely booked’ restaurant was pretty empty.
All in all, I may stop in again if I were in the area and hungry, and order the crab cakes and a drink, but not sure I’ll spend the time or money on anything else.
Was recommend by a friend , this was my second time coming back.
Everything was exceptional. Loved the experience!
Unfortunately our first visit was on Valentine's Day and either the restaurant was overbooked or people just didn't want to leave. We arrived early which resulted in an extended wait. The wait wouldn't have been so bad but I made four trips to bad in an attempt to get drinks for the wait and could not get close enough to place an order. Finally got a drink 2 minutes before table was ready. Food was good, noise level was not. Service was okay, but less than stellar. Will give another visit but not during prime time to see if noise and service is better. Might be a good date scene without noise.
My Valentines Dinner date with my hubby was awesome except for the 45 minute wait even with a reservation. Overbooked!
Beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing food! This was my boyfriend and I’s first time dining here. We will definitely come back!! The only minor complaint we have is the volume of the music. Other than that this place was amazing!! :)
Went for Valentine’s Day. They significantly overbooked their restaurant. We were seated for our 745pm reservation at 840pm. Service was slow even after we were seated and I ordered a chicken Parmesan and it was undercooked. I sent it back. My girlfriend ate her whole meal before mine came. The manager came by later and asked if it was ok. That’s as far as the customer service went. It doesn’t matter at this point as I will never return. The food was mediocre after it was cooked properly. Poor overall.
Valentines Day. Portion size was pretty small but the taste was wonderful for the food. The ambiance is top notch and service was great.
Too expensive. My ribeye steak was very thin and had a gravy over it. Poor quality meat. My wife's grouper was good. Everything need to order separate at an aditional coast. My side of mashed potatoes were a child portion. Meals were to expensive.
We went for Valentines Day. Our food was great and the music was too!
Always a great visit! Some what costly but quality of food and service makes that a full value. Will return as we have so many times!
Such a wonderful place. Truly enjoyed every minute of it all.
We went on Valentine’s Day which of course is super busy. It was very crowded and super noisy but besides that everything was perfect. The food was fantastic and our waiter was great once he got our order going. We are looking forward to coming again on a less crowded day.
Reserved on Valentine’s Day for 6:15, arrived at 6:10 and ordered a drink at the bar. We were seated before we finished our drink at 6:30. We ordered the chilled seafood appetizer and the prime NY strip for 2 with asparagus and brussel sprouts. Everything was superb and steak was cooked to order. The gentleman playing the music was also very good and the perfect volume. The staff was great and it was nice to see some familiar faces. Definitely recommend, but reserve early for Valentines Day!
This was our first visit. It won’t be our last.
The menu is quite extensive, the wine list is very good.
Prices overall we very reasonable given the qualifying the meal.
Our server was outstanding.
The music was a little too loud, otherwise a wonderful evening.
Amazing in every way, as always. The manager, Mr Bash, stopped by to say hello
