Inspired by her flavorful travels, Candy DeBartolo set out to bring something different to North Tampa’s food scene: a dining destination where everything that happens around the table is considered sacred—a place where every detail matters. Together with her team of passionate experts, she opened Sacred Pepper to provide the community with new twists on classic favorites in an inviting atmosphere. Locally sourced ingredients and made-from-scratch pastas and sauces highlight a Contemporary American menu with dashes of Mediterranean flair. Cocktails are inspired by cultures from around the world as well as modern, traditional, and pre-prohibition tastes.

Food and service are excellent, Jessica was our waitress and she was terrific, she knew the menu and was able to answer all of our questions, we will visit again!
Everything was so good. Love this restaurant! Great food, great service, great ambiance.
Awesome Experience looking forward to our next visit.
Kinda fancy. Kinda casual. A great restaurant with a variety of food choices with personality.
Wonderful experience here! Amazing food and impressive service! I will definitely be making my way back to this restaurant! Thank you Sacred Pepper for an amazing Anniversary night!
We have dined here before and it was excellent. However this time around was not nearly as great. Issues below:
1. Asked for a booth well in advance and was not accommodated.
2. It was my husbands Birthday, which I specified on my reservation when booking and we didn’t even get a Happy Birthday or anything to acknowledge it.
3. It was hot in the restaurant making it VERY uncomfortable and ended our stay earlier than we planned.
We spent close to $400 dollars for a night that was supposed to be a great time and it definitely was not as great as we imagined.
Unfortunately, we will not be dining again any time soon.
Menu remains interesting; preparation excellent; quantities generous; service mostly professional, some attention lapses on a busy Saturday evening; noise level higher than desirable (live music), but our table was far enough away that we were able to converse without yelling most of the time.
This visit was our first to this restaurant. We had a large party (9) and the restaurant went out of their way to accommodate us on a Saturday evening. Much appreciated. Our server, Danielle, was informative, friendly, and helpful. The service was outstanding for a busy evening and the quality and taste of the entrees was enjoyed by all.
The food was fresh and delicious with fabulous service from Reese. Loved the music!
Was celebrating my birthday on my first visit. Had a wonderful time. Food excellent and server was great!
We had a terrific experience! The food was outstanding! I had the salmon and my husband had the delmonico steak. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The music was upbeat and lively. We will be back!
From the moment you walk in the service is great. Everyone is in good spirits and our waitress Rachel was very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and her suggestions where very good. The operations manager Joe was a great host and checked in on us from time to time. Great experience and atmosphere. Will definitely be going back with friends and family!!
This is not our first visit to Sacred Pepper and certainly not our last one!!!
Bravo for a job well done...no complaints!!!
The food and service were excellent!!! The entertainment off the charts...Damn, that guy is good!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
A horrible live performer had his volume cranked way too loud so a conversation in a separate dining area was almost impossible. We won’t go there again if there’s live music.
Just fun with friends
Service was very good - noise level can b an issue depending on where u r seated. One of my friends in party very disappointed with her pasta bougillnesse- extremely salty. The rest of our order very good - grouper , calamari ,bowl, appetizer with cheese аnd mango and very thin crust.
It is usually much better. Fish was cold and dry. Overpriced specials but other than that only ok. We had reservations and the hostess tries to stick us in the bar area at a table for appetizers. We refused so was finally seated in their empty dining room. It did not fill up all night so don’t understand their procedure. Waitress as very attentive in the beginning and then would disappear for quite some time. Had to ask several different wait staff to refill water glasses. Didn’t seem like any management was on the job on a Monda Night. We spent $225 for four people so it should have been worth there while to provide better service. We will give them another try.
I love the calamari, the butternut squash soup, the short rib pasta is very delicious and the Strawberry Martini is very refreshing! Our server was very friendly. I can't remember her name but she has blonde hair! Sacred Pepper has become my favorite dinner spot
amazing spot, service always wonderful,l food is fantastic....High Quality restaurant ...wish I still lived in Tampa so that I could frequent it more often! I always make sure to dine there when I am in Tampa!
Always good food and service. They have it figured out.
We celebrated our anniversary and was surprised with a delicious dessert! The service, food, and atmosphere were fantastic!
Great place to meet friends. Live music is amazing, drinks are fabulous!
I think this is one of the hottest restaurants in Tampa. The decor and ambiance make you feel like your are at a very special and unique restaurant. And I've been impressed with the food. The Hawaiian Ribeye is to die for. I've been to Berns a number of times and would much rather have this steak! And on Sat night @ 6pm, they usually have a really good one-man band playing great 70s pop/jazzy type background dinner music. This is currently my favorite restaurant in Tampa Bay.
This was our first visit to the Sacred Pepper and it won't be our last. Our server, Rachael, was very helpful and well informed. Our only problem was the noise level. We were a party of 2 and were placed between 2 large parties. Other then that we had a very good experience.
As much as we love this restaurant and eat there several times a month, we are NOT fans of the Friday night entertainment purely for the fact that it is so loud you can’t even have a proper conversation with a person sitting directly across from you. We have yet to understand why the music has to be so loud. The song selection of the entertainer is great so no complaints there but the sound volume has us literally avoiding eating there on Friday nights. We had gone this past Friday hoping things have changed but alas, no luck....
Our server and food was fantastic. Can’t wait to return.
Barbara is a marvelous server, just love her! The chicken parmesan pasta was good. The charcuterie board was a bit underwhelming, there was actually just one tiny slice of cheese on the board which was disappointing especially for the price and the sausage was just ok. The wine/happy hour is amazing and pretty much everything we've ever had on the menu otherwise is phenomenal. We enjoy the atmosphere and food. Only suggestion is better music. The live music gets a bit loud in the evenings and is somewhat obnoxious. Better music selection would definitely enhance the experience!
server was knowledgable and attentive. food presentation could be better but was tasty
Our waiter Terrance was amazing. Very attentive and recommended items to ty. We enjoyed his service. However, we did not receive as much food for the money we spent. I observed head waiter greet several tables but missed ours. I was a little dishearten.
The food was delicious! Our first time there, we were celebrating our 8th anniversary and the experience was great. Our server Dominic was outstanding! Explained the menus and gave us recommendations. We will be back again!
The atmosphere is like fine dining, the food is similar to fine dining but the dress code and the prices are so reasonable! We were visiting Tampa and had never been here before but we will definitely be back the next time we’re in town. Highly recommended for anyone who likes delicious food. Everything is made in house and it makes the world a difference! So glad we found this place!
Sunday special $20 per person is a great value. The DIY sundae is the best, though. Enough entree that I took a doggie bag, so I got a dinner and lunch for one price. Love Sacred Pepper!
excellent price performer....only one problem....noise level annoying...conversation is difficult
One of my favorites.....love it! I can't think of anything that I would change other than noise level. Of course, I am older...and am sure the younger people don't have a problem at all with the noise level.
First time guests- we will be going back! Fabulous dining experience! Ambiance, food and service! Well done!
Our waitstaff Barb was AWESOME. The food was incredible and the prices were more than worth it. We will be back!
I had a reservation for a Saturday evening and still had to wait right near the live music for my table. The restaurant was extremely loud despite the soft floor covering that so many restaurants are lacking these days.
However, the waitress was very good and listened to our needs and questions.
I appreciated the cauliflower mash alternative and that the menu had so many pre-identified gluten free choices.
I would recommend this restaurant, with the caveat to check about the music / noise level first.
Great food, great wine list and love the music in the bar.
