We loved sitting outside with gorgeous views of the ocean. The food was exceptional! I had the scallops, one of the best I’ve ever had and my husband loved his tuna dish. Can’t wait to return!

Noise level very high. High number of very young children screaming. $14 cocktail had two flys floating in the drink. Sent back drink. Had to request that drink get taken off bill. Had to wait forever for the corrected check. Frustrating evening.

Service was extremely slow, did not even get the bread we ordered until 1/2h after we sat down. Many people who were seated after us got their meals before us. It took over 1 hour to get our meals, and it was a Tuesday evening. Our kids ordered Mac and cheese, should not take an hour to get that.

Our experience was great other than the wine value was less than desirable. I asked the waiter to pour up the glass a little bit and he said he could not. It was less than 3 ounces and a $17 price. Other than that the food was excellent And the server did apologize about the wine pour but did not wanna get in trouble.

The food was good but the pour of the glass of wine was terrible. Three sips and you were done. Expected better for $14 for a house wine. Inn itself was beautiful and the view was spectacular .

I've been going to the Sacred Cod about once every year as a destination for my family and I and I have to say the most recent visit was disappointing. The service was scattered and we kept getting other peoples dishes. I also was extremely saddened that my favorite New England Clam Chowder was significantly lacking in clams this year. If this happens again to me next year I won't bother coming back to this place unfortunately so I hope they improve. The location is beautiful and I understand they train a lot of hospitality students there, but for July 4th weekend I feel everyone should have been better prepared, including the chef.

Portly trained staff, uninspiring menu, poorly prepared food, screaming kids. Avoid! Wife told staff of allergy. Food came and loaded with this ingredient after being assured not in the recipe. My fish and chips came ten min later. Soggy. We have high standards and this was the worst on the Cape.

Service was so poor! We tried 2 nights as we do think the food is good and like the location and stay at the Inn! Waited 15 min to be greeted! Charge for bread to table and 5 dollars per soda??? This is offensive to nickel and dime dinners like this! obviously we can afford it-its the principle of feeling like I am being financially exploited because we can afford it!!This is getting ridiculous now don't you think? Waiters weren't knowledgeable regarding details of menu and there were language barriers both evenings they couldn't understand our requests nor could we understand their responses! this made it challenging as I have celiac ! They even forgot to give us our leftovers as well! This could be SOOO much better !

Terrible service! We had a reservation for 8:45 pm and were seated at 8:45. No waiter came until almost 9. Then the waiter had a trainee with him. Between the two of them they took forever to get our food and bill. When we left the restaurant it was 10:35. The waiter would go into the kitchen area and never come out to check on the table. There was no one to check whether tables were being served on time or not. Also, from our table we could see our car parked by the valet and it was running until 9:35 a good hour or so until I went and told the Valet that the car has been running. No one seems to be checking on these staff on how they are doing. Overall, it was not a good experience.

Every time I come to Cape Cod I go here because I love their clam chowder. Sadly, the recipe seems to have changed. It used to be a creamy soup, not a thick paste that, when you pull a spoon through it, doesn’t move back together. The flavor changed too - floury, pasty. The rest of the meal was quite good but my disappointment in the chowder spoiled the rest of the meal for me, as it is the specific reason I come here.

The Inn is beautiful. The view is fantastic from the porch bar. This restaurant is a lovely interior room, quiet informal bar and dining room. The room was very cold. The food was fine but not exceptional. The wait staff was attentive. It is a great place for people staying at the hotel to have a quiet informal meal.

I ordered the scallops, which were good, but there was only 3 on the plate. The cost was $32 , which is almost $11 per scallop. In my opinion, the entree was overpriced.

Usually find Sacred Cod great place with family which includes young grade school kids. Tonight beginning of season the staff is poorly trained! Bad timing. No one came to table except hostess trying to cover for lack of waitstaff. Timing totally wrong so kids lost it after 1.5hrs. Also bill had extra charges for wines we didn’t order. Most disappointing for frequent diners

We ate at the bar. The Bartender was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks. Our meal was outstanding— a Halibut special and the scallops on the menu. The bar has big leather bar chairs and the whole experience was excellent.

Went for a date night during our visit to Chatham. We were sat in the bar area next to these two older ladies getting very loud over their multiple martinis. Once they left the noise level went down exponentially. We started with the burrata cheese and the beets with local smoked honey. They were absolutely delicious! For dinner we had the sirloin and the haddock which were both phenomenal. My boyfriend and I both work in the restaurant industry so we know the chef knew what he/she was doing back there. The flavors of the food were amazing. Now for the not so good... the service or lack there of. There were a ton of server assistants and if I could have only tipped them, I would have. Our server Shirley seemed so overwhelmed and uninterested in serving her tables. We were finished with our appetizers before she even asked for our entree orders. The table next to us sat down and immediately knew what they wanted to drink and eat and she refused to take their dinner order until she came back to get our order. They were not thrilled with her service and talked poorly about it throughout their meal. We actually made a game out of how much she would ignore us just to keep from getting angry about paying so much money to get mediocre service. Thank god they have good food or this review would’ve had no redeeming qualities. The other servers looked competent and were providing good service, I’m not sure if Shirley was having a bad day but if I went back I would make sure she was not my server again.

Sacred Cod is great, I go here every year from New Jersey. There were some drunken other customers that I feel the waiters and bartender should have stopped serving because they were yelling and falling over. I understand its a bar/restaurant and it was Memorial Day Weekend, but this group of people were being a little over the top and I had a hard time hearing the people sitting right next to me. There is also supposed to be a strict no pet policy at Chatham Bars Inn and yet there was a golden retriever in the area and did not have a service animal vest. I do not think it is fair to allow some pets over others. Overall the food and service was wonderful, it's a shame that other people were allowed to break rules and be rowdy and interrupt my time with my family.

We arrived on time for our reservation at 6:00. Waitress came and took our drink orders and then didn’t come back for quite a while eventually she came and took our order. Appetizers arrived at 7 and dinner arrived at 8. While delivering our food a waiter spilled soup down my sons back and never apologized. We ended up leaving at 9pm.

The food and service were great, but the noise from the bar area was just so loud! It was difficult for us to hear each other at the table for 4. I would suggest some kind of closure between the bar and the table area.
