Great food and atmosphere! Will be back for more!
Wonderful in every way- we very much enjoyed our dinner and we will recommend Sac-a-Lait to everyone we know. Chefs were nice and spoke to our children, which they greatly appreciated. It was the highlight of our weekend. Food was delicious and creative.
Very knowledgeable server, food was unique, but very tasty. Will be back!
Beautiful food in a large, high-ceilinged, smartly decorated space, with plenty of room between tables. A lot of hard surfaces, so it's a little noisy, but not nearly as noisy as many of downtown restaurants.
We had Hen of the Woods (the only vegetarian option on the menu, but my! what an option); charbroiled oysters; deviled crab; and the (welcomely subtle) blackened redfish. We finished with the Indian spoon bread - deliciously unsweet, paired with sweet meringue sauce. Every dish was special. Service was knowledgeable and attentive. Drinks excellent. Would dine here again in a flash.
The food is exceptional. One of the greatest culinary experiences I’ve had. Unfortunately the air conditioning was on way too high and we were seated near a vent. When I explained how cold I was, the hostess refused to seat us at another table, despite the fact that there were 7 others open. She said each of the people who reserved those tables requested the specific table (highly unlikely).
For the money, the front of the house should be on point. I won’t come back even though the food was amazing.
Fantastic food, gorgeous presentation, great service.
We arrived late on sat at the bar. We are from Charleston, South Carolina and we are accustomed to excellent food. The tapas at Sac a Lait are mouth watering delicious!!!!! Our server was wonderful and accommodating, suggesting the venison, best thing on the menu! Overall incredible experience.
Absolutely delicious meal !
One of the best we have tried. Everything top to bottom was prepared well and service was great. Will definitely be back next year.
It was my 3rd time eating there and the food, service and ambiance was fantastic. Their food is incredible blends and mixtures of flavors and a host of different creole blends of fish, foil and indigenous meats and garden varieties.
My only dislike was the menu change from appetizers/entrees to categories of food without knowing the portions almost implying everything is an entree.
When you go there, you want to taste all the different offerings, the new menu inhibits that experience.
Great service. Excellent food
We went for our anniversary and had an amazing time. The atmosphere was fantastic and really gave off a unique modern New Orleans feel. The service staff was impeccable and quite amicable. Everyone congratulatedus on the occasion, even the Chef came out to the table to talk which was a nice touch. The food was hands down some of the best and most authentic I’ve had in the city in the 24 Years I’ve lived in Louisiana. Every dish was unique, interesting, and full of bold flavor. You could tell that even their plates were custom made to fit each dish. It was an outstanding dining experience and I don’t think it could have improved in anyway. I would hands down recommend everyone give Sac-a-lait a try, but I warn you, you may never want to eat anywhere else again after such an impeccable experience. I can’t wait to go back!
Fantastic meal of creative dishes....when I dine out I want to try things I wouldn’t normally make at home. Sac a Lait delivered on every aspect from service to taste! Our out of town guests were blown away & we’ll definitely be back soon.
Had a table reserved; they couldn't seat us... But the service from the bar was outstanding!
Adventurous food done to perfection! We rarely repeat restaurants when we visit New Orleans but this was our second time at Sac-a-Lait. We had the octopus, duck hearts, tuna and venison sweetbread tartare and last but not least, veal brains. We also enjoyed their well-crafted cocktails. We can’t wait to go back for our next adventure!
The most fantastic meal we had in New Orleans by far. The food and drinks were out of this world. Would highly recommend !
Clearly a lot of detail and effort went into every aspect of the restaurant and experience. The decor was youthful and elegant, the menu was ingeniously developed, and the food was creative and of the finest quality. My favorite dish was the duck hearts; I was admittedly intimidated by them but knew I loved duck and had to be able to say I had tried them, and they ended up being delicious!
The most amazing meal we had on our weekend trip to NOLA. We savored every bite. Great cocktails too. Everything was really unique. Dinner at Sac-au-Lait was the highlight of our trip!
The menu is limited.
Met up with friends for a double date. Really great service, very helpful and detailed. Food was FANTASTIC. We had so much fun trying new foods and flavors. Definitely more of a pricey meal because we wanted to try it all, but worth the price! Cocktails were equally as tasty and creative!
