Sabor De Cuba
Simple food, complex flavors. Is such a thing even possible?
At Sabor de Cuba, we think yes.
Everything was great! We always enjoy the food and how it is prepared. My husband ordered the grilled red snapper. It was tough. He was not happy. But next time we will get the special of the night!!!!
That was the only issue otherwise food, service and the flan were great!!!!
me gusto mucho su servicio. I have already recommended some friend to go there and will come again very soon with my wife. Thank you for the great Custom Service provided, your Team was excellent.
The best Cuban Food in the region! So fresh and savory and tasty
This is a great place to eat. The servers are very attentive and the food is tasty.
Loved the food. Will be my favorite place to eat in downtown Frederick. My mom who's normally picky raved about it so it's a winner.
Great food, great service, big portions! What's not to like?
Always delicious food and great service, we always love going here, my wife loves it
The food and staff are excellent! Highly recommend
This is a great restaurant. The ambiance a Cuba. The food was very Cuban. No wait staff was fantastic. The noise level, well we’re Cuban, it’s going to be loud. LOL!
Classic Cuban flavors accompanied by scrumptious plaintains. What more could we ask for?
This time (our second), I had the pulled beef marinated in lime. My wife had the vegetarian plate. We were both delighted.
We’ve eaten at most of the Cuban restaurants in the dc/md area and Sabor De Cuba is one of the best! We’ve always had a nice experience with servers and staff. Food potions are great and we love their pork and chicken dishes. Shrimp good too Order the garlic bread- it’s absolutely delicious! Desserts good too! Love this place!
The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. Their recommendations are usually what they would eat themselves which is always a great indicator.
Their drinks are great, and they have fresh fruit for their mojitos. Definitely recommend.
The mojitos were very good. Strong but that’s a good thing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Sabor De Cuba. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. The only issue is how long until we return.
Always great food and service. Simple but delish.
The food here is always amazing but our server Henry was top notch!
Good family restaurant. Friendly, efficient service. Good food. Relaxed atmosphere.
Frederick's Cuban restaurant, just off the "Square Corner" on East Market Street, is wonderful. Situated in what used to be a White Coffee Pot, the tables are comfortably spaced and the decor attractive, the service is attentive, and the food is delicious and varied. Items are very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
It was a rainy night and we made a reservation so seating was not an issue. Our server was Excellent and helped us make our dining decisions based on what was good that night and our preferences. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and absolutely will return.
Went to Sabor de Cuba to celebrate my birthday. Food, service and mojitos were all excellent!
Nice Cuban restaurant, not too large. Great selection of dishes and large portions. Service was very good. Food was a little bland. Ropa came with no olives or capers so lacked salt. Desserts were good. Would return.
Great food, great drinks, reasonable prices. Plan on going back.
We had a family dinner and the food was amazing. The waiter Mike was very interactive with our group and added to the experience. And the margaritas had fresh strawberries which added to the flavor. Over all this was a fantastic experience and great food.
We shared a meal with our Aunt. We got the vegan dish, the marinated grilled steak dish and a side of yucca. For dessert we shared a tres leches with a couple of expressos.
It was a little hard to hear at times and we thought we were getting Americanos instead of expressos but it was very good overall. One of our favorite spots.
We chose Sabor De Cuba from a list of Frederick restaurants near District Arts gallery on N. Market Street. We all enjoyed our meal, and the service was friendly, efficient and fast. Our experience was marred by the fact that the noise level was awful. Our table for 3 under the front window was positioned next to two tables of 6 who were extremely loud--we almost had to shout at times to be heard just across the small table. So, I would say this is NOT the place to be for a romantic dinner.
So delicious and accomodating! We loved everything about this place :)
Fast, friendly Cuban food with plenty to fill you up.
Overall, very good value and decent food. It is fairly simple inside so not much ambiance. Our waitress was very friendly but seemed stretched based on how often she was at the table. Worth a try for sure!
First time and thought food and service was just ok - meat dry; soups watery, etc - won’t be returning
Decided to try something new; what a wonderful experience! Food was fabulous, and plenty of it. Our server was very sweet and helpful. Parking garage 2 minute walk away, so very easy access.
The food was authentic Cuban food. I love the fact that this is the first restaurant that has authentic Cuban bread. Like, I asked how did they get it; they told me the owner showed a local bakery how to make Cuban bread. The tres leches here is also amazing. They make their own merengue in house. Simply put, the food is excellent. Now the place could use a make over. It reminds me of a topical cafeteria in Miami.. not your fine dinner look. If you are not picky about the looks then ok. But they can take it to the next level by re-decorating the place.
Great, immediate service on a Monday winter night. Excellent decaf espressos, and try the Cuban style plantains. There’s also both mild and diablo-hot hot sauces you can request with entrees. Our waiter Henry was really attentive. Will be back next time in Frederick.
Very simplistic approach to a wonderful culture of food. We could tell that the people preparing the food took their time in prepping and presenting their food.
We dine at Sabor de Cuba regularly. It is our favorite restaurant in the area. The food is amazing and the service is always excellent. I highly recommend treating yourselves to this experience.
My husband is Cuban so I know the food well, and Sabor de Cuba does Cuban food right. The ceviche was tangy and delightful. I had a snapper special with rice a salad, and sweet plantains. The fish fell off the bone, the rice was moist and delicious and the plantains were sweet, but could have used a little more caramelization like I prefer. I ordered a side of boiled yucca with garlic and it was a bit hard for my liking. I like it a little more mushy so it melts in your mouth. The service was great, always a smile on her face and ready to assist. We made reservations online which made it easy for us to get seated with our party of 6. They put us in the back room which had really low lighting. Would be nice to have some small lamps at each table or candles for some better ambiance and maybe some wall hangings on the walls which were bare. Kind of blah back there. But the food was yummy and I can't wait to go back!
Very good meal with traditional spices
Loved the food - would highly recommend! Great value and delicious offerings.
The Valentine's Day entree special was delicious. The empanadas and bistec never disappoint. My habenero margarita with strawberries tasted fresh and firey. The staff here are always friendly. We love this restaurant!
The food was excellent, especially the pernil (roasted pork with rice, beans, onions, and plantain). The service was excellent -- our waiter was friendly and efficient. It was a little noisy, but not too bad.
Always excellent food... lunch today did not disappoint!
