Sabor Cocina Mexicana - Valencia
Today was the busiest the restaurant has been of any of our lunch visits (and we were happy about that!) but the experience did not suffer because of it. We tried the panuchos yacatecos and it was love at first bite! Great service as always.
If you are on a diet you can come here .. portions vs price not worth it !
Not authentic Mexican at all made for fitness gurus lol
My food was cold, also my husband told the waitress no guac, food came out with guac sent it back and they just took it off the tacos. My husband is highly allergic to avocados.
This was some of the best Mexican I have had in California. The food is fresh, flavourful and authentic. The service-outstanding.
The food and service were top rate. The “summertime quesadilla” was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Can’t wait to go back!
Birthday! Great food, amazing margaritas awesome service. Try the churros for desert
My Favorite Restaurant in SCV, always great food, drinks and service
Pleasant atmosphere, good food, reasonable prices, great service.
Fantastic restaurant! Really enjoyed the seasonal margarita's-watermelon berries! The panochos yucateco were amazing and delicious. We enjoyed the street tacos de puerco and the enchiladas de sabor, both excellent dishes! Best way to end our hectic work week! Our server Francisco was extremely helpful assisting us with our selections. He did a super job keeping us happy and we really enjoyed our conversations with him!
The friendly, professional and attentive staff is what keeps bringing us back. That, and all the original items on the menu. It never disappoints.
The food was very good, not the typical Mexican food. The service was very good.
Great place and amazing service well recommend
I ordered a specialty salad and a few drinks with my date. I had planned to order more, but I found that the salad I got was so heavily laden with dressing on wilted soggy vegetables that I lost my appetite and ordered more drinks. :) It had a great atmosphere for my date, so it was still a win. But I was not impressed.
Ambiance, food and drinks is always great. It’s a “go to” for all of our occasions. This one just happened to be our anniversary.
Came on the recommendation of co-workers. I am a bit of a foodie and enjoy trying new places. I was warned of the prices, but was told I would be happy. We were seated promptly, and then nothing. No chips, no salsa, no "welcome". And so we sat with our menus and planned our food. Finally, a server from another table notified our server we were there. We had waited long enough we had our drink and food order ready. We did not see our server again until we after we asked the busboy for our check.
The food was amazing. The margaritas were large and tasty. Portions were a good size, though for half a chicken in mole, two tortillas is insufficient ( I would have asked for more, but the server was nowhere to be found).
Back at work, I was told the service I endured was not typical, so I guess that was my luck.
Their register wasn’t working and declined my card several times. A bit of an embarrassing moment at first. After they rebooted the system my card went through. Other than that I enjoyed the dinner and the restaurant. A little pricey for what you get.
Love the ambiance and the cuisine. They will make what you want if it is not on the menu. Food is delicious. Drinks are great . Service is excellent. I would recommend.
Even though the restaurant was very busy on Mother's Day the food and service was still very good. There was four of us and we had a variety of food; steak and enchiladas.
My enchiladas had at least 3 chunks of chicken fat that I had to spit out. It was special occasion so I did not make a big deal over it... but I was disillusioned since they were $18.00. Margaritas were good.
Food wasn’t so good, but the service was great.
Outstanding meal with incredible service to match. We are looking forward to many special occasions dinners here in the near future.
We wanted to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Sabor was one of the Mexican Restaurants that took Reservation’s. The food was wonderful and the liquor menu gave many choices. The desserts were delicious.
Wonderful service and delicious food; we will definitely visit again soon
Had a great meal with friends. Margarita was HUGE but very delicious.
This restaurant is a reflection of human beings. A lot of attention is spent on aesthetics, and very little on substance. It's a stunning Mexican restaurant and the servers are professional to a point you can't fault. The meals are plated beautifully, but unfortunately are terribly bland. All four of us felt the same way and were incredibly disappointed after the promise of something more special than your average Mexican restaurant. In fact, your local inexpensive restaurant has far more flavor at half the cost. My meal was dry and had no sauce. Another friend commented that fish and cream just don't go together. Fish and lime go do! Sadly the enormous margarita's did not take the pain out of paying the same size bill. The plantains were delicious, but how hard is it to fry a banana? I would like to go back to give it a second chance, but I know that I would just be going back in the same way that you go back to a beautiful/handsome person hoping that they've worked on their personality and this time they might be nice and not so cold. We both know the answer is a waste of time and money.
Great food great service great margaritas
We had a very lovely lunch. The our server was very friendly and the guy in the front when we walked in was very nice sorry I didn’t get any names but we will definitely be coming back.
As always food and service were outstanding.
It's the Staff at Sabor that makes the difference. It's hard to find a restaurant in the SCV where the Staff is as dedicated to great service every single time you visit. By the way, the food is amazing too.
Great ambience, fantastic food! What more can anyone asks for?!!!
Delicious as usual!
Fantastic food and the help is tremendous!!!! Also the décor is amazing and the drinks are huge and in beautiful glasses.
Went there on recommendation and found ambiance really exciting! Very upbeat - even classy. Waiter was very attentive, courteous and inviting. Sad to say that's where the good comments end. After tasting a watery margarita - and then having it replaced with one that was identical, the explanation we received was that it "came frozen that way and that all that ice ruins it." (i.e. had neither flavor or punch!) Our two separate courses followed - one being the House Special chicken concoction. Mine was a (we thought) predictable cheese enchilada - yet each was disappointing to the point of our option to not clean our expensive plates! Oh, yes, we also tried the chicken tortilla soup which like its companion dishes seemed to have an unusual flavor and all seemed to carry a "not bad - but not good" after-taste. Fortunately, the watery margarita was removed from our bill - yet even so, the tab exceeded $50 for two entrés and a cup of soup - no other drinks, salad or dessert, etc.
Summary: Really enjoyed the interior architecture and ambiance - nice service - but over-priced food we actually didn't enjoy. So, sorry, but how could we recommend a restaurant that had food we wouldn't repeat?
My wife and I have been frequenting Sabor for 3 years. Hands down the best authentic Mexican food in L.A. County. Service is impeccable and food is even better. Highly recommend
My husband and I love dining at Sabor. The chef has created a great menu with unique flavors. The sfaff is amazing. We always feel welcome!
Great! Loved the food and atmosphere
