Had a great meal with friends. Margarita was HUGE but very delicious.
This restaurant is a reflection of human beings. A lot of attention is spent on aesthetics, and very little on substance. It's a stunning Mexican restaurant and the servers are professional to a point you can't fault. The meals are plated beautifully, but unfortunately are terribly bland. All four of us felt the same way and were incredibly disappointed after the promise of something more special than your average Mexican restaurant. In fact, your local inexpensive restaurant has far more flavor at half the cost. My meal was dry and had no sauce. Another friend commented that fish and cream just don't go together. Fish and lime go do! Sadly the enormous margarita's did not take the pain out of paying the same size bill. The plantains were delicious, but how hard is it to fry a banana? I would like to go back to give it a second chance, but I know that I would just be going back in the same way that you go back to a beautiful/handsome person hoping that they've worked on their personality and this time they might be nice and not so cold. We both know the answer is a waste of time and money.
Great food great service great margaritas
We had a very lovely lunch. The our server was very friendly and the guy in the front when we walked in was very nice sorry I didn’t get any names but we will definitely be coming back.
As always food and service were outstanding.
It's the Staff at Sabor that makes the difference. It's hard to find a restaurant in the SCV where the Staff is as dedicated to great service every single time you visit. By the way, the food is amazing too.
Great ambience, fantastic food! What more can anyone asks for?!!!
Delicious as usual!
Fantastic food and the help is tremendous!!!! Also the décor is amazing and the drinks are huge and in beautiful glasses.
Went there on recommendation and found ambiance really exciting! Very upbeat - even classy. Waiter was very attentive, courteous and inviting. Sad to say that's where the good comments end. After tasting a watery margarita - and then having it replaced with one that was identical, the explanation we received was that it "came frozen that way and that all that ice ruins it." (i.e. had neither flavor or punch!) Our two separate courses followed - one being the House Special chicken concoction. Mine was a (we thought) predictable cheese enchilada - yet each was disappointing to the point of our option to not clean our expensive plates! Oh, yes, we also tried the chicken tortilla soup which like its companion dishes seemed to have an unusual flavor and all seemed to carry a "not bad - but not good" after-taste. Fortunately, the watery margarita was removed from our bill - yet even so, the tab exceeded $50 for two entrés and a cup of soup - no other drinks, salad or dessert, etc.
Summary: Really enjoyed the interior architecture and ambiance - nice service - but over-priced food we actually didn't enjoy. So, sorry, but how could we recommend a restaurant that had food we wouldn't repeat?
My wife and I have been frequenting Sabor for 3 years. Hands down the best authentic Mexican food in L.A. County. Service is impeccable and food is even better. Highly recommend
My husband and I love dining at Sabor. The chef has created a great menu with unique flavors. The sfaff is amazing. We always feel welcome!
Great! Loved the food and atmosphere
As always amazing!!
Valentine’s Day great ambiance and food and service are always GREAT. All the service professionals are friendly and accommodating. One of
F our favorite restaurants in Santa Clarita. A must visit if you like really unique and classy Mexican food.
Always the best service and tasty meals!
The food at Sabor is always above average or better, the drinks are decent, and the service by the wait staff is outstanding. Actually, the wait staff/servers/etc are very attentive and friendly--probably the highlight of Sabor. The problem I have is with their lack of planning. The past two times we have gone to Sabor we have made reservations. On both occasions we arrived five minutes before the time they accepted as our reservation and we were not seated until 25 minutes after that time. Don't tell me 6:30 is fine then seat me at 7:00. There are too many other quality Mexican restaurants in this area to deal with their lack of organization any more. We will take our business elsewhere. Luckily for them the waiters and food are good, so they will continue to be packed with people who will tolerate their incompetence.
We were celebrating our marriage earlier in the day. What a perfect end to a perfect day!! Great cocktails. Delicious hand made tortillas. We will be back soon.
Driving home after seeing Golden Kingdoms at the Getty Museum. A desire for Mexican cuisine sent me to Open Table and Sabor looked interesting. It was in a very large mall and we almost didn’t go but we were hungry and entrance was from the outside. What a fun surprise when we saw the interior, well done. I judge Mexican restaurants by their salsa and chips. Delicious. Ok on to the menu, not your typical Americanized Mexican food. My crispy Chile rellanos were delicious and I could have eaten a dozen but settled for 2. Excellent and fresh guacamole. My husband had the chicken burrito and it was delicious. I am so glad we stopped. Now I hope I can replicate the crispy rellano.
First of all - I want to say that our issues with the restaurant had nothing to do with the service, which was excellent. From the hostess , to our wonderful waiter , to the people who refilled our water everyone could have not been nicer/more efficient. The food, however, was a disappointment. The chips had no salt. The salsa had no taste. The margarita was WAY sweet. The short ribs carnitas had good flavor but were a tiny portion for $25. The beans needed SALT! One friend had the street tacos and said they were good, and another had a burrito which she said was not bad - but for a place with prices like this I would expect more.
My meal was excellent...very tasty and fresh! Very definitely will return to enjoy another great evening!
Warning! Sabor is addicting. Best presentation of food on a plate ever. Consistently great tasting.
Gourmet Mexican food, unique decor, great service and delecious Sabor Margarita.
Had birthday dinner there. The food and service were excellent. Cochinita Pibil was delicious and the Margaritas colossal. Service was outstanding and the ambiance and décor were faultless. Not cheap Mexican food, but worth it. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Beautiful upscale restaurant that serves Mexican food. The menu is very different than what you would expect and it does not disappoint. The margaritas are smooth and tasty and all of the staff very friendly. Highly recommend.
Always excellent 😃👍
I was here on a Friday night to celebrate my Bday with family and friends. We all had a great time as a group and with our server . 😔i dont remember their names, but they were amazing. Food quality, taste, and presentation was great. My friends were amazed by the size of the Margaritas. They said "you get on the drinks what you dont get in the food", because the portions seems small to them.
thank you all for your service.
The best Mexican restaurant PERIOD!!! Great food.great margaritas and great service.
Wonderful combinations and new approach to Mexican cuisine. Our waiter Javier was attentive and made our evening very enjoyable. The outside tables are setup in a way that us very private and cozy.
Sabor has always been among my favorite spots to eat, but this last visit had caused me to scratched it from my list. The problem is the food; the tacos lacked any real kick but the enchilada with chicken was a disaster. The tortilla was packed with chicken but there was so much chicken and it was do dry I almost had to choke it down. I ate only one of the three enchildadas The sauce was minimal and no sauce touched the chicken. Que lastima.
The food was excellent as usual. The waitstaff were very friendly and attentive. The one thing they forgot was it was for a Birthday and they didn't mention it. I mentioned it was for a birthday when I made the reservations on Open Table.
Service and food was excellent.
My wife's favorite restaurant in Santa Clarita - we make a 45 minute drive to dine here.
Great food, amazing service. We were a group of 12 people and everyone was thrilled about the service, food and decoration of the restaurant.
Very pleasant evening: great food, cocktails and service. I would definitely go back.
Just can't stop from coming here. We will be back soon.
We ate here with our two teenage sons and had a delicious meal. We love the complex it is housed in the decor was beautiful. The staff was lovely and attentive. The food was delicious, generous in portion size, creative and well priced. The margaritas were great!
Delicious as always. Very friendly wait staff.
As always, the staff was amazing. The most attentive in this valley as far as we're concerned. Food is always exceptional. We always look forward to a night at Sabor.
First visit to this restaurant and it did not dissapoint. Excellent staff for service. Food was creative in presentation and taste. Kids menu every limited. Will definitely visit again.
