Very enjoyable meal. We celebrated our friends birthday and she summed it up as we were leaving,
this way...'this is what a restaurant should be like'.
We haven’t been to Sab’s for a while and I’m disappointed to say I won’t rush back. The service was very good. The food was just, ok. Not outstanding. The lasagna had little meat, the bookmaker salad was skimpy on protein and the bread was not worth eating.
I’m sad that it wasn’t better.
We saw a mouse scurry across the floor and the two servers that both also saw the mouse ignored it. It seemed like it was obviously a regular occurrence!
Celebrated an older person’s birthday. Asked for a quiet space and were nicely accommodated.
Not good! Gnocchi was way over cooked, was basically mush. Chicken parm had zero taste. House dressing was off had a gritty feel, like too much corn starch or baking powder. Service was fine but this is a hard pass in the future.
Our server, Kitty, was awesome!
Horrible food served with gallons of over sweetened marinara sauce.
I went hear after a concert at Royal Farms arena, so it was pretty late and choices were limited. Apparently they do karaoke every night so if you like karaoke this is a good place to try. The singing range from horrible to very good and a decent mix of types of music. The food and menus were confusing. I ordered some things off the late night menu and some off the regular menu but I feel like the prices were different. Everything was over priced. For example a small portion of eggplant Parmesan was 18 dollars and did not come with spaghetti . The side of spaghetti was like an additional 7 dollars. My girlfriend got the salmon which was good but like $30. The mozzarella sticks were horrible and the buffalo wings were okay. The ambiance is that of a bar, but the prices are fine dining. There are much better places to get steaks and Italian food for the prices they charge.
Amazing food and service! Will be back when we are in town!
Not a place I would recommend. Service was very rushed and the food was not good. I felt like I was eating in someone's house that hasn't been updated in 30 years.
Sabatino’s is always good, and their Bookmaker Salad and house dressing are delicious, but they are a bit pricey. The restaurant itself is dated, but homey.
We went to Sabatinos with a friend when we were visiting Baltimore. The food was mediocre at best and quite expensive for what we got. The house dressing which is touted as amazing (and has an upcharge) was chalky and tasteless. The service was fine, but nothing special. The restaurant is in an old building which could be nice if it was kept up. The bathrooms were not very clean, which just underscored my lackluster impression. I won’t go back on my next visit to the city.
The food and the service was absolutely amazing...We cant wait to go back...
The bookmaker salad was as I remembered. The room was comfortable and our table was next to a window. We could look out at the colored lights strung over the street. Nice dinner.
Garlic bread and salad was amazing!!
It was our first time there as we don’t live in Baltimore. The food and the service were wonderful and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
Bookmaker salad has always been delicious, it's my favorite salad for sure ! Food last year was great making us want to come back. This year for valentines day we were very disappointed in our entrees. Food did not seem fresh like usual.
Went for Valentines Day food was good as well as service.
Great Food! Awesome Atmosphere! Superb Service - Peachy ( 45 years of Service) was the best! What a wonderful, delightful server - made the meal/experience/atmosphere that much more enjoyable!
The food was superb and the server was delightful. I recommend Sabatino’s as a great place to dine. The Bookmaker salad was large enough to share and the dessert, a chocolate encased ice cream treat was perfect.
Loved it except I went for escargot and they ran out. Otherwise great!
Service was outstanding. Disappointing that the escargot was not available but on the menu (and is some of the best.) The shrimp dish had only five shrimp and little prosciutto for $24. The homemade pasta made up for it. The only other concern is this occasion was a teenager birthday celebration with a date and his grandparents. The Open Table reservation included this information but the staff did not acknowledge the occasion.
We thoroughly enjoyed our bookmakers salad, calamari and our entrees. The garlic bread was incredible. Our server, Diane, was very accommodating. My only disappointment was that when I made our open table reservation, I had stated that it was my son's 27th Birthday. Typically most restaurants will bring a dessert with a candle and sing Happy Birthday. This did not happen so why ask if we are celebrating a special occasion?
Disappointed with sides of spaghetti as well as main dish: shrimp Juan and veal
Nothing special...not bad just nothing to write home about.
The service was average at best and the food was very bland and over priced. I'm taking into consideration the lack of quality ingredients which is also another factor in my scoring model.
Fantastic service and food. Wait staff was very friendly and personable. The Canollis and pasta were unbelievably delicuous!
We have always loved Sabatino’s and even after friends saying bad experience go somewhere else we said no way we love it there. Well we wish we had gone elsewhere. Service was horrendous, food was mediocre at best, we had no refills on drinks and asked twice for carafe iof water - that I ended up getting from the bar myself. It was awful. Even our go to regular food one was great and the other plate horrible. This is not even close to how bad it actually was.
Been a Little Italy staple since 1955, get the Bookmaker salad and pasta, pasta, pasta. Yes this is a real Italian meal, you will love the bread and the sauce.
Always reliable, a "go to" place. You'll always get tasty food at a good price with competent service. We go in of-hours to avoid the crowd and usually can find parking on the street
Very nice thank you guys
We had a delicious dinner, the service was just great. I can't wait to go back!
Sabatino's has been our go to restaurant in Little Italy for over 30 years. We've always enjoyed the warm reception, the family-like service and tasty meals. The service has not changed but the quality of the food sure has. We shared an order of the hot seafood antipasto which was watered down. The lobster had no flavor at all. We also shared some clams casino which was dry and over cooked. each of our pasta dishes were bland and the pasta was over done to the point it was mushy. Even the bookmaker salad was watery. Sad to experience this at what was once an icon of the Baltimore restaurant business.
I've been coming here for many many years. I can always count on the service, food and ambience!!!
Bookmaker salad was excellent, so was the cannoli!
Went for restaurant week. Waitress was friendly and food came out very quickly. The selection of food was good, but the taste wasn't anything remarkable. Would consider eating there again - just not for restaurant week.
Very enjoyable all the way around
Disappointing. We went for lunch during restaurant week. I was super excited about the menu and had my order all picked out.
Upon entering the restaurant, there is no signage to the hostess stand, which is tucked away up some stairs and around a corner. The décor is dated and a bit shabby.
The Italian bread came out w/some frozen butter pats. Keep it around, you'll want it. I ordered the clams casino which came out stinky and reheated. I sent them back and got a salad instead. Pretty basic, but fresh. My entrée was veal saltimbocca. The breaded veal was a tiny portion, dotted w/a few pieces of prosciutto, covered in melted cheese (the highlight of the dish), drowning in a salty pan sauce. It came w/a medium size side of spaghetti in a red sauce (I took this home to my husband). Dessert was tortoni ice cream, which was served very frozen, so hard to get your spoon into, but it was delicious.
The service was good.
Would I go back? Never. There are too many good restaurants in Little Italy to visit.
A real highlight of our trip
We been coming here for 20 years during the mid Atlantic nurseryman trade show. Once again the food was delicious, fast and reasonably priced. All Serve with a smile and a welcoming atmosphere
Been coming here since I was a small child. Food has been consistently good. Love the garlic bread and house salad dressing.
