5 Star service with AMAZING authentic Italian food!
There was a hair in our Oysters Rockefeller, but they promptly brought out a full additional order at no charge. I filled up on bread too much before my meal so I missed out on the bananas foster, but I saw another table enjoying theirs and I only wished my stomach had another compartment. The portions were very good and the place was quite busy, which added to the energy.
The piano man was outstanding, and we sang a few songs with the crowd. It trailed off a bit just before midnight, but everyone was friendly tastefully ill-mannered (alcohol will do that to you). I recommend this restaurant!
Has long been a restaurant of consistent quality both in food and service.
Classic good eats!
We have been to Sabatino's many times and are NEVER disappointed!
i love old school places and good solid comfort food. You cannot do better than this place. i would eat here all the time if i could.
As always the meal the service theoutstanding attention to detail was outstanding!!
Wonderful service and Excellent Food. We haven't been there in so long because we moved out of the area but went for a special birthday dinner and forgot how much we love this place.
They give you more than enough food and the quality is superb.
We were celebrating my wife's and her friends birthdays, they are a day apart. Was welcomed at the bar as we walked in, my wife and i enjoyed a drink and a lively conversation at the bar as we waited for the other couple to arrive. We were seated as soon as they arrived, within a few minutes the servers arrived with an order of pizza bread and complimentary bruschetta, all was good in the world! The meals were amazing, I had the Rick's special. We were not rushed at all, spent 2 hours eating and drinking. Then off to the piano bar where we spent hours singing with other "groupies" enjoying great cocktails and fellowship. All in all, the perfect night out!!
We have dined here many times and are always completely satisfied with our experience. It's a place where we know we can take family/friends and be assured they will be happy.
Old world Italian at its best! Love the food and the creepy guys who sing and play the hilariously out-of-tune violins.
This is one of the best restaurants in the City of Chicago, and has been for many years.
The only complaint was waiting 45 min after having a reservation. Overall everything else was great and food excellent.
Old fashioned but charming and fabulous, great food; strolling violin player.
Wonderful service and great food! The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are generous! All entrees come with soup and salad. The Stracciatella soup is to die for. They also serve bread and pizza bread complimentary before your meal. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. You will definitely leave here with a full stomach and food for tomorrow night! You can also get tableside cherries jubilee or banana fosters. So fun to see the fire by your table, and it's only $12! Can't be beat.
Always wonderful and consistently good. I love the pork chops and the pasta.
Enzo make a spectacular dessert, never a miss. This the reason that we come here.
Absolutely wonderful service, very attentive and helpful. Food was delicious as always. We were celebrating our anniversary and had the delight of dining in their private booth so it was the perfect level of private but still enjoyable and a good noise level. One of our favorites ❤️
Had dinner with friends we had not seen in a while, it was recommended by my daughter. Menu has a lot of choices, if you cannot find something you like you are way to particular. This is a great Italian restaurant, it has a very comfortable feeling and the service is very good. Be prepared for a large meal and the wine list is very good. For beer drinkers there is nothing on tap, only bottles.
Great appetizers, wonderful soup, salad and crusty loaf of bread. However, the main dish was flavorless, very bland. Even the butter for my wife's lobster was weak and tasteless.
Great food in generous portions and wonderful service. A Chicago classic. Don't ever change.
Server was excellent. Very attentive. We had a very good timr
Great food and service! Wish the piano player was there!
It was wonderful as always.
My friends and I had a wonderful meal. We also enjoyed the Cherries Jubilee.
Amazing all around experience. This is the best Italian food outside Little Italy.
First time here. I know I'm the only one in Chicago who has never been. I loved this place . We were a party of 4. We all could not stop raving about our food. Definitely a favorite!
I had the special veal with lemon, capers and pimento. It was very tender . The sauce was excellent. My friend had the risotto special. It didn't seem too "special" because it just had tomato sauce. He had them add mushrooms. I still thought it was rather boring. Go with the risotto that is on the menu.
Pizza bread and real anchovie olives in the martini are both a special touch.
Love the food and ambiance at Sabatinos.
Such a lovely throwback restaurant! Service was attentive and the food was phenomenal. Everything arrived hot and was well flavored. Our orders took a while to arrive but it was understandable. The restaurant was extremely busy and the food was fresh, not reheated. My only complaint is that it took forever for us to receive our bar order. We were going to cancel our drink orders but they finally arrived.
Sabatino’s is perfect for a special occasion and for dining with a group. We will return
Good quality food, soup and salad included, fresh fish, great breads. Authentic, old world neighborhood spot and good value.
We are never disappointed with the food. It is always excellent with large portions, so it is also a decent value. The waitstaff is knowledgeable and pleasant and there is an old world charm to the place.
We had a great time! The food, service, and experience were excellent. It all helped to create a fantastic memory. Thank you! This is why Sabatino's continues to be a special place for our family.
Amazing food and experience. Will do again ASAP.
The food was mediocre at best. Very old world, and the menu looks like it has not been updated since the 90s. Everything is drowning in butter, and not creative.
Very good Italian American. Service was excellent. Food and ambiance. Violin and Accordian.
Overall good experience but could have been better if the wait staff rushed us through our meal. We were one of the first people to arrive and no one in the back dining room yet the service was poor. It was a special occasion made not so special unfortunately. Will be a while before I go back.
Complimentary valet parking. A bit loud inside. Feels like 1972.
excellent value get soup. salad, pizza bread, and entree w pasta. strolling violinist, nice atmosphere, old school Italian.. great overall! highly recommend
I love this place but miss the Chicken Livers !!!!
