I Don’t normally write reviews, but I’m still dumbfounded by my experience last night. All I wanted was a salad. I was served a salad with “roasted chicken“ that looked like it was swept up off the floor. I’m pretty sure my dog would not have eaten it if I brought it home. I’ve also never seen anybody screw up lettuce, but what I was served was not edible. The server never came to ask how our meal was only showed up to bring the check when he could clearly see I did not so much is take two bites out of my salad. He never asked, what was wrong just handed us the bill with his mandatory minimum 18% tip The atmosphere on the front patio if you’re going for drinks is beautiful I would just plan to eat someplace else. The bartenders were also great.

Service was trash, they only have about 6 waiters for 100 tables lol, food comes out whenever it’s ready so sometimes your sushi comes out before appetizers, everyone all over the place but the food was fantastic, great prices too, just hire more people please

Service was terrible. Waiter never came around. Never offered second round of drinks. System to pay bill with server over top, but s extremely uncomfortable, feel like you can’t leave the tip they deserve or don’t deserve

Our waiter Chris clearly had exceptional customer service experience. And the food delivery support staff were polite and more than helpful. Ambience is terrific and exposure to the wind is limited even on the terrace. Fire tables were nice to relax that after the meal. Wine list was somewhat limited but acceptable and food quality was absolutely fantastic for the price. Welcome composed, and flavorful dishes good portions, and creatively conceived. We were only in Fort Lauderdale for three nights on this particular trip and chose to dine here two nights consecutively. The second night we’ve gone to a restaurant a little further away Taxi and ended up calling Nat taxi to come and get us again to return here and eat here for the second consecutive night. That sort of says it all doesn’t it!!!!!

The food was decent, and ambience of course was lovely being a restaurant on the water but the service was not good. I wasn’t greeted when I walked in, I instead greeted the host and the servers were frequently carrying out conversations between each other whilst they were at my table (I understand things happen in the restaurant they need to update each other on, but not while they’re taking an order. It was uncomfortable.) The food came out quickly, which I would consider odd as it prompted concern that my food was all pre-prepared simply sitting under a heat lamp. My server did bring me a birthday ice cream which was nice as I didn’t explicitly state it was my birthday. All in all, I would not return to Sun Surf and Sand. I don’t expect negative reviews to deter people from dining here, all that needs to be provided for most people is being provided; mood lighting, decent enough food/drink, a great setting and general dining environment.. but that’s not enough for me.

Bring your coat. This place is freezing. We finished our food in under 40 min and even left to go outside in the middle as it was unbearable. People were shivering. Over salted food, and unpleasant to eat when we were freezing, we could not enjoy. Other tables people had on winter coats.

The music at this place is TOO LOUD. It ruined our entire experience. Being that it says it’s a kid friendly restaurant, we brought our 7 and 9 year old and we were all miserable. Even if I hadn’t brought my kids, I would not have enjoyed myself. I do not want to be in a club while I’m trying to have a conversation with the server. We had to yell and we still couldn’t hear each other. Sadly the great food and service were overshadowed by the noise.

We celebrated two birthdays today and everyone loved their meals. It was a little wait to get our server in the beginning (30 min) but then we ordered everything and it was good.

I love this place. Good value for money and each dish is unique. It is not those restaurants where everything tastes the same. The steak tartare, the Korean chicken and the burrata are my favorites.

Just not the same as it was years ago. Food quality has declined dramatically. Fish tacos were dry. Sold out of burger, but then neighbor ordered it. Sushi was ok. Love the view and vibe though.

Small portions for the dollar value - ordered the grill octopus and got 4/5 small pieces. Not a whole tail. My dish was mostly beans and tomatoes. Very disappointing

We love this restaurant and come here all the time but unfortunately they refused to give us a table waterfront outside which we reserved and requested. That sat us in the alley outside. No ambiance but food is always excellent.

Not impressed. Servers were really slow and bad at checking on us. The restaurant wasn’t even that busy. There was no ambiance what so ever. The food was flavorless.

We have been frequenting S3 for years now. We love it!! Edamame and Korean Fried Chicken are a couple of our favs. This is a great restaurant, not to mention, it’s on THE BEACH. Can it get any better?!!
