I recently spent a few days in Vancouver before my trip and treated myself to an exceptional dinner. The 25-course Omakase experience was truly remarkable! Each dish showcased exquisite showmanship, with the chefs preparing everything right in front of me, creating an engaging atmosphere. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the delicateness of each dish was a true testament to their artistry. I enjoyed every moment and am already looking forward to returning next season for a whole new menu! Highly recommend this unforgettable dining adventure!

Coal Harbour
About the restaurant
Specializing in aburi, or flamed-seared, sushi, the act of applying flame directly and lightly searing sushi enhances the natural flavours and textures of the seafood. Miku owner, Seigo Nakamura, innovated the Aburi concept by crafting specialty sauces using non-traditional Japanese ingredients to pair with each type of fish.

About the restaurant
Located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Yaletown, Minami follows the pioneering footsteps of its sister restaurant, Miku, in delivering the innovative dining experience of Aburi cuisine to Vancouver's thriving food scene. Each piece of sushi is flame-seared using a blowtorch and binchotan (oak charcoal), resulting in sushi with a smoky aroma and a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Everyone who came to our table was so incredibly nice. The food is always delicious - we had to double down on the Champagne Roll, the grilled vegetables and - obviously - the Salmon Aburi ♥️♥️♥️ Adrienne (I think that was her name) our server was very attentive and nice, it was the perfect send-off dinner for my friends!

About the restaurant
Traditional and new? Yes we have them both.

Established in 1976, Kamei Royale was the first Japanese restaurant to introduce the now famous BC Roll and various original sushi dishes found in Vancouver. Presenting the largest counter-top sushi bar and an exhilarating Robata grill showcasing the chef's skills.

Kamei Royale has renovated and renewed itself again in 1990. Bringing forth a brand new bar lounge and Tatami rooms the massive floor space can easily accommodate up to 200 tour groups. Also, with the karaoke lounge now bustling, everyone can enjoy our popular drinks and dishes while singing away to the latest songs ranging from every corner of the planet!
