Food was excellent...Best hamburger I have ever eaten. Truffle fries were delicious and the bread was out of this world good ...Jamie our waitress was incredible and never missed a beat. Served 8 of us and all of us appreciate the excellent service...

I hadn’t been to Sam Bs in quite a while. Decided to meet cousins from out of town there. From the moment I walked in the door, Anne Marie was there! So very helpful with our gluten free needs and suggestions, attentive but just the right amount. The food was excellent! I would definitely go back and definitely recommend it!

Our Farm-to-Table Restaurant offers fresh food focused on local sourcing and home-made recipees. Our beef is raised in Holgate, OH and processed locally. The cheese on our boards is made from local, whole milk in Hicksville, OH. We use 100% California olive oil in our oil based dressings - it is not cut with canola/soy/vegetable oils. Our flatbreads come in at less than 30 carbs each. We are known for our cocktails, particularly our Old Fashioneds and our Seasonal Speicialty Drinks.
Our building was constructed in 1871, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019 and completely renovated to expose it's historic lines and features in 2021. We are within Defiance's DORA District and directly across from Triangle Park in Defiance's historic downtown. Step back in time, window shop the downtown and then come and dine. We offer carryout through a button on our website www.thedarkhorsesocialclub.net

IF YOU ARE FROM OUT OF TOWN, IT IS WORTH THE DRIVE. UNIQUE AND ECLECTIC WHICH I LOVE. THE OWNERS CHANGE THE MENU SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR AND COME AROUND TO CHECK ON THE PATRONS.
