For Jeff Ruby, this is the steakhouse that started it all. In 1981, The Precinct was born in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6. This turn-of-the-century, Romanesque-style structure would hold what is now the longest, continuously running fine dining restaurant in the city.
Recently named one of America's Top 10 Steakhouses by USA Today and Gayot.com, The Precinct is frequently recognized as having Cincinnati’s best steaks, seafood, and service. Our experience at The Precinct was spot-on with what would be expected from a Jeff Ruby restaurant. The waiter was knowledgeable and very friendly. The wait staff was right there with refills of water and the removal of plates as we finished. I couldn't have been more impressed with the overall service. The food was absolutely delicious. I have a new favorite in the boneless ribeye. It was amazing. I'm very happy with our overall experience and will be back again.

Ours was a lunch experience was a very pleasant surprise. We both had the pick from three each, two course luncheon specials plus a shrimp cocktail to share. All five dishes were excellent and the price value was great. Service from Valerie was a highlight of how service should be. We will return soon.

Located in one of the oldest operating taverns in Indiana, Third and Main carries on the historic traditions with an upscale menu in a casual atmosphere. Just a short drive from Cincinnati along the Ohio River, this family-owned and operated restaurant is a great place to get away from the bustle of city living.
