To celebrate my husband’s birthday , he suggested we try this new restaurant. I looked at it online and was very impressed. I immediately called and made a reservation. We were absolutely delighted from the minute we walked inside. We were immediately seated and the French rolls arrived within minutes. Both of us were delighted with our entrees. Every bite was fabulous. The service was excellent! We will most definitely return! It was a memorable birthday for sure.

If you want to be transported out of the US to the Mediterranean, step through the doors of "Taste of Old Country". A little Bistro tucked away off Rt. 66 in Manassas. From the friendly greeting to the handshake good-by you will be impressed. We arrived early and the place was packed, however our 6:30 reservation was right on time, the father and son owners were attentive and provided excellent service. The MAIN TREAT was the food, my wife was very impressed with the olives, lemon hummus and bread as a starter. Our choice of wine was great. The main course was so good we had smiles for miles. The atmosphere is friendly patrons talking to each other and enjoying each other's company was like being in the old country. Very relaxing and joyful. Food for value is excellent. John

I've been to Grand Cru on many occasions, and it's always been satisfying. This most recent visit was outstanding. Our server was knowledgeable about wines and made an excellent suggestion. The service was unobtrusive--there when necessary, friendly and ready to help as needed. The food was terrific, even better than I remembered. It was Tuesday evening at the end of August, so there were very few diners, and that could have contributed in some ways to the attentiveness. This was a birthday dinner for my son, and the server comped his dessert (I had not told the restaurant it was his birthday, but the server somehow figured it out), which was a lovely gesture.

Our server, Azalea, was very pleasant and friendly. She did a good job. However, I received a dish that I didn't order. I do not know who is to blame. But, Coopers Hawk did not charge me for the dish since they messed the order. I am very appreciative of that.
