It had been years since I visited this location. We went for a birthday and the whole experience was positive. I walked in and felt like I was in a different restaurant than years before. The food was fresh, the meats were all seasoned well and the choices were plentiful. The booking online made it easy for us and the restaurant called us to confirm and made sure everything was perfect before we even walked in. I would recommend this restaurant when you are looking for something different, for a special occasion.

This was my first visit to JPAN Sarasota and it will not be my last! Out of our party of 6 only one person was not completely satisfied and that was just with a side dish. She said that the steamed dumplings were okay but not great. There is always one person that complains. The other 5 of us were completely satisfied! I had fatty tuna sushi and it was awesome. Along with that I had shrimp tempura and it was some of the best that I have ever had. My wife had Udon noodles and she said that it was delicious, and my daughter and my niece both had had specialty rolls that they raved about. My sister-in-law is gluten free and the staff was more than accommodating. The other sister-in-law (the complainer) had steamed dumplings and spring rolls. Overall this was one of the best Asian meals that I have ever had in Sarasota. All of that said about the food, I have to say that the service was even better than the food. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. I could not be happier!!!
