Since the 1960`s, the Triantafillopoulos family, at its restaurants in Athena, Greece and Jacksonville, Florida have worked with top quality materials showing respect for the food itself and the customer.

As of December 2017, their son Yiorgos and his wife Marilena would like to welcome you to a brand new restaurant in the heart of the city, The Athenian Owl.

Reflecting the heritage and the authenticity of Yia-Yia`s (our mother and originator of the first two restaurants) recipes, we add to her wonderful food our passion of representing Greek healthy cuisine at its best.

Dining at The Athenian Owl is a fantastic experience. The food is delicious and freshly made with good portions for each dish. The service is always good and relatively quick, the ambiance and decor are nice and the owners are very friendly and welcoming.

13 Gypsies is a cozy, intimate Spanish tapas restaurant. You can also find the influence of other cuisines throughout the menu. Primarily utilizing Spanish techniques to prepare both creative and classic renditions of Spanish dishes, Chef Howard and Chef Kevan operate a true craft kitchen. The two of them prepare and cook most everything from scratch including breads, cured meats, cheeses, sausages, spice blends, pickled vegetables, and desserts. This practice of making nearly everything in house promotes waste-free cooking and higher quality food. Our wines are mainly from Spain, and our beer is Florida local. We are located in a two-story Spanish-style building built in 1923 by Henrietta Dozier, Jacksonville's only female architect in the early part of the 20th century. You will find eclectic, maximalist religious iconography adorning the walls and original floor tile. We have few tables, so reservations are highly recommended. Last seating is an hour and a half before closing time.

Get experience. Took some family members for their first time. We shared about 10 dishes. All of them were great. Wine selection was limited, but will definitely return.

Oyster app and filet with mashed potatoes and broccolini setup perfectly cooked tender and delicious Delicious cheesecake desert. Highly recommended!!! A neighborhood gem!!

Enjoyable brunch with girlfriend. Our waitress Amanda was wonderful, she took her time with us & very helpful. I had the avocado toast which was delicious & my friend had the scrambled egg bowl very good.

Stonewood Grill has been a favorite of ours for a long time now. The servers are very friendly and attentive, whether it's Sierra, Hadley, Chase, Alisa, etc., most of them speak to us even if we are not at their table, and the hostess, Elysse, knows us by name when we walk in and knows the type of table we prefer. The Cedar Plank Salmon is a must. The Bruschetta Chicken Sandwich is another delicious go to. Both are plentiful servings with accompanying side(s) of your choice. The Stonewood Salad is also a scrumptious offering. Typically the music is low enough to carry on a conversation-true background music.
