Celebrated my best friend’s birthday here The Octopus was masterfully grilled — tender with a smoky edge, and those sweet peppers gave it a playful twist. Cozy lights and soft chatter made the night even more special.

Sushi
East Village
About the restaurant
Nestled in an intimate space in the East Village, Bar Miller is the showcase omakase restaurant from the sushi concept Rosella. Just a few blocks away, our 8-seat sushi bar is seated twice nightly for a tasting menu that features local, sustainably-sourced ingredients.

Domestic beer, wine, and cider shape a drink program that stays true to our approach to the menu, while the sake list highlights Brooklyn-based breweries and less conventional styles from Japan.

Bar Miller happily accommodates solo diners. Please email info@barmiller with your reservation request and we will follow up!

About the restaurant
Toraji is a “yakiniku” style BBQ restaurant.

Since our first shop has been established in 1995 in Tokyo, Ebisu area, we came a long way.

We are commited to provide you the “yakiniku” you want for the days you feel like having a “yakiniku”.

We as pros won`t do any compromise in terms of ingredients, taste or service, Toraji will continue to promote the right way the yakiniku culture, bringing taste, happiness and health to our customers.

This was such a cozy, quirky tea room! We booked a Grand Vanderbilt seating and requested pre-brews the night before of the English Breakfast and Toffee Teas. When we arrived we were immediately seated on big spacious couches that were tall enough to make it feel like being in a private booth. Our host Isabelle gave us a great introduction to how the tea would be served and they had an awesome service request system where you could put a clip on your tower if you needed service otherwise they would leave you alone and let you chat. Our full tower was gorgeous and delicious! I just did a year in the UK and can confirm that this rivaled the high teas abroad. The sheer variety of little sandwiches was a highlight and I appreciated the small portions because there were so many. We were full of tea and treats by the end and had a great time gossiping. Price-wise I'd say it's worth it, there is plenty of food and unlimited tea, they offered to go on anything we didn't finish and the service plus ambience make it a fantastic overall experience!
