Place was small but cute & our server Selena was very helpful and accommodating . Because we originally were seated at a tiny table where things barely fit and there was a lack of napkins . This delicious food , there is no neat way to eat it , so more napkins of a better quality would have been appreciated and maybe removing the bones from the chicken would have been ideal because the space to maneuver is limited. Would recommend & pricing is fair .

About the restaurant
Bhatti Indian Grill is an ultra-authentic north Indian restaurant in the heart of NYC that’s refined yet affordable, upscale and modern. Bhatti opened its doors in 2009 to much fan fare and accolades for the authenticity it brought to indian cuisine.

One of the city’s preeminent Indian chefs and restaurateurs, Gaurav Anand of Awadh and Moti Mahal Delux has completely revamped and renovated Bhatti just in time to celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. Perennially packed and attracting celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence and Food Network’s Duff Goldman, Bhatti became a popular dining destination due to its delicious, boldly-flavored food, especially kebabs. For its 10th anniversary, Gaurav wanted the restaurant that set him on a successful restaurant career to get a sexier new look, more elevated menu and an adventurous beverage program including an all natural wine list, befitting the next decade.

The restaurant is a smaller space, but the food was very delicious with many options to taste everything Indian. The service was great and the dinner was much more affordable than I expected. Best to order several dishes for sharing.

Low rating for the food may be due to the order being placed by my friend, who is a Jain.

Indian Accent is one of the most refined and outstanding Indian restaurants in New York. Their course menu is creative and absolutely delicious. Always recommend the jackfruit phulka for an umami flavor bomb, and the butter chicken kulcha is a staple. They used to offer a butter-pepper-garlic prawn as a mid-course, which I was devastated to see was no longer offered.

Spice Symphony has been on my list to try since reading a NYT article from October 2022, "The 25 Essential Dishes to Eat in New York City". #11 on the list is the Chili Chicken at SS (the dry version). My wife and I were in town, from Chicago, for a wedding last weekend. We got to the restaurant just as the kitchen was closing for lunch service but the GM, Nasir, was kind enough to accommodate us. He stood by our table to answer any questions and to help us quickly place our order. We had the Chili Chicken and the Lamb Vindaloo. Both were exceptional. You can read about the chicken dish in the NYT article. The Vindaloo had an extra dimension of flavor from the chilies which are soaked in cider vinegar and ground with garlic and cumin before being cooked with loads of generously-sized chunks of lamb. We can't wait to get back to try more dishes from a restaurant serving a unique blend of Chinese and Indian cuisines.
