We had an excellent dining experience for a group of 6 last evening. Monique was our main server. She did an outstanding job!!! We are so glad the restaurant is open again after being closed for months.

Food and service was excellent. Had the chicken stuffed with spinach and feta and husband had New York pepper steak. Dessert sticky toffee pudding. Best I’ve ever had. My husband is visually impaired and gentleman who sat us asked if he would need a menu and if he would be ok to go up 2 stairs. Very impressed. We’ve never been asked that before.

We went for a birthday dinner and from before even arriving at Hy’s Mackenna was able to accommodate my reservation complications. When we finally arrived we were greeted with a “happy birthday” from the staff and were quickly brought to our window side table. Dino served us and did an amazing job. He was very knowledgeable, attentive and helpful with any and all of the questions we had for him whether they were food related or not (loved talking cars with the guy). Dino was also very detailed with everything and made sure our table-prepared salad was perfect. Thank you Dino and Hy’s for a great experience for us both.

Food and service was good. The only downside is that there is not enough parking. The fear of being ticketed or towed made me loop around 20 minutes to find parking. I would not go back here only for this reason.

Our décor is warm and modern. The tradition has always been dark wood, leathers and a muted palette for a steakhouse. We broke the mould and decided to add hand-selected music that reflects us! We’re more like Jay Z and less like Sinatra.

We only serve ranch specific Alberta Beef. That means we don’t serve beef from anywhere else on the planet. We know our farmers and ranchers personally and respect the hard work they put in to produce our beef.

We are one of just a handful of steakhouses in Canada that serves, Grass-fed, Grain-fed, Wet-aged, Dry-aged and Wagyu beef 365 days a year. Our beef is always fresh never frozen.

We use a 1800 degree Infrared Grill to cook your steaks. The high heat creates a flavourful crust on the outside of the steak and leaves a juicy centre.
