Set in a beautiful restored heritage building in Victoria's old town, Perro Negro (Black Dog) is an extension of the popular Ferris' Upstairs Seafood & Oyster Bar. Born of a love of Spanish food and culture, Perro Negro features an extensive list of tapas, sherry, and wine from Spain, BC, and beyond, served in an atmosphere that is lively, casual and fun! Entered through Ferris' Upstairs Seafood & Oyster Bar, Perro Negro is a true hidden gem.
Chef & owner Dave Craggs' early memories of growing up on Vancouver Island center around food; digging for clams, roasting oysters on beach fires, picking shrimp from the docks at Peddar Bay and eating fresh fish from the waters of East Sooke.
Dave's culinary influences point heavily to the countries of the Mediterranean, in particular Spain, where he travels often. Dave is happiest when eating simply prepared, freshly caught seafood, preferably on a beach with his toes in the sand.

Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square.

Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights each week.

The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

Our reserved table was ready when we arrived, the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Delicious drinks and food - I’ve never had a bad meal at Earls- always very consistent!

Great ambiance in Bard & Banker, beautiful inside.the Band was really good, server was nice…..but very very very busy. That could be because it’s a long weekend, the live band or all the cruise ships in town. Overall a good time
