About the restaurant

JJ’s Restaurant is a Vancouver institution. Both the kitchen and front of house are run by students who are in their 2nd level of cook training. Enjoy a three-course a la carte lunch which is reasonably priced and produced with the highest level of passion and care by students with the guidance of their Chef Instructors. If you are interested in a group booking please email culinaryarts@vcc.ca. Chef's Table dinner is a set menu, and courses can not be changed due to guest preferences. We have these specific proteins on the menu to further the student's knowledge in the program.

Lovely dinner at Nightingale. Service was professional and friendly at the same time, and atmosphere was amazing. We tried many dishes – the pepperoni pizza was otherworldly, but also the branzino, spaghetti with the nova scotia lobster, and cauliflower hummus with fofe sourdough were amazing. We also ordered the most popular item, the buttermilk fried chicken, as well as the braised meatballs, but we thought that the other items were better. Beers were cold and desserts were great. Would absolutely recommend for any celebration.

Owned and operated by John Crook and his partner Erik Heck, The Flying Pig Yaletown is referred to as a nouveau Canadian bistro in the community for its fresh, local ingredients and quality food. The restaurant opened for business in August 2011 and is known for its contemporary Canadian and seafood specials. It has a nice décor comprising of a combination of dark and light colored wooden furniture, along with brick style and white painted walls. The ambiance is casual and welcoming, and customers prefer to have brunch, lunch and dinner here.

The Flying Pig Yaletown has separate menus for dinner, lunch, brunch and happy hour. There is also a wine & beverage list featuring different types of drinks from the restaurant's full bar. The Flying Pig Yaletown has a private room reserved for small gatherings and special events, which can accommodate up to 28 people.

My daughter and I had dinner at your restaurant last night, it was her fist visit to Mt Pleasant Vintage and she really enjoyed it! Great food, great vibe and our server was excellent- though I can't recall her name! She even managed to round up some tots for us after a brief 'tot-shortage' in the kitchen. We'll be back again soon!
