Experienced Omakaze at the sushi bar. What a delicious treat - sushi, tepan and tempura. Quite unlike anything else in Vancouver. Chef Tojo is quite the character!

Welcome to Okeya Kyujiro Our Omakase Experience is a chef’s choice menu consisting of seasonal ingredients mainly sourced from Japan. It includes approximately 25 courses with mostly sushi.

Everything was great and the food was delicious. Service was great as staff were friendly and patient with explaining their food items and drinks. The only real downside was the flies hovering around the table - the reason was because of staff going in and out to serve between indoor and outdoor patrons. To be honest this seems a bit nitpicking on my end, however it was annoying having to swat the flies away instead of focusing on the conversation or the lovely ambiance.

I highly recommend getting one of the lunch combos, it was a great way to try lots on the menu. Our server Karol was so helpful and her enthusiasm made the whole dining experience so much fun and enjoyable.
