At Yellow Door Taqueria, we are serving up traditional & contemporary Mexican cuisine with a New England Spin. Our traditional tacos each have an individual twist and they're all served on the tortillas we make fresh every morning. We offer a full bar and have a stacked drink menu including several different kinds of Margaritas, an extensive tequila, and mezcal list, as well as carefully craft cocktails. If you're not into the hard stuff, no worries, we have mocktails, Mexican sodas, beer, wine, and more!

This is our original location which lives in the heart of Lower Mills, Dorchester. We are right in between our two sister restaurants Lower Mills Tavern and Madre Osteria & Bar - Perfect spots to grab a drink before or after your reservation!

Our other locations reside in Boston's South End at InkBlock and Boston's Mission Hill.

We are open 7 days a week for dinner & for brunch on the weekends!

Bar seating is first come first serve Fridays and Saturdays from 4pm to 9pm.

Paulina was our server with others assisting. Half our party were not frequent Mexican food eaters and struggled with the small plate menu but with guidance our server got everybody something they liked and portioned the selections well. One guest did not want anything spicy but really preferred food with little or no spice (hard for this type of small bites restaurant focusing on flavor bomb dishes). Alas, between the servers, owner, and chef, they replaced her meal with an off menu squid ink paella which was delicious (we all had a taste). The service and care really made for a nice evening.

I had a great experience at Chubbs Taco! I ordered the fried chicken quesadilla and a coconut shrimp taco and both full of flavor. We also shared the dry rub wings, which were absolutely amazing. I'm pretty picky, so I was pleasantly surprised by how well everything was seasoned. The ambiance was relaxed and inviting, with music that was just the right volume and a solid playlist. I loved that they had four different hot sauce options, it was hot sauce heaven! Noah, our server, was kind, attentive, and unbothered by all my little quirks. If I return (and I definitely will), I'm asking for his section. A couple of disappointments: they don't offer bottled water, just tap which in 2025 feels like a major miss. Also, my Shirley Temple arrived with bubbles yet syrup-less, but the ginger ale that replaced it was perfect. Still, Chubbs has earned a return visit from me. Great job to the team, and big shoutout to Noah! See you all soon!

Our favorite local Mexican for very many years. Very good traditional food and excellent cocktails. (Colorful Ghost is addictive). Small patio outside is lovely on summer days but three separate rooms indoors are also very nice and comfortable, decorated with Mexican tiles.

This is a very lively and fun bar and restaurant experience. We had a party of five, and the service and dinners were very good. They had a little problem bringing all of the meals out at the same time, which we had to speak to them about. They finally delivered all the meals, and we had a lovely dinner. The servers and food were very good, regardless. We all noted that we would come back.

Went to Yellow Door with my gf and her family. Excellent service, the waitress noticed we were new and offered to explain items on the menu, and were very hospitable. Solid food. If you’re craving tacos and you’re in the MFA area, it’s a solid spot. Side note: Don’t forget to thank the cooks in the back by purchasing them a 6-pack off the menu! 😆
