We absolutely love Frank G’s! This was our second visit, Jessica was our server the first time and she was awesome and tonight we had Hannah and she was awesome too! I have nothing but amazing things to say about this restaurant except the tables are entirely too close together, but it will always be one of my favorites! The caramel apple Moscow mule and caramel apple margarita were fantastic!

My wife and I came here for our 1 year anniversary. We were given a small booth table in the corner which left us practically in a private dining setting! The scallops were full of flavor. My wife HATES any food that once swam, but she loved the scallops! My cavatelli was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, and I’m not even a big fan of pasta! My wife’s pork chop was melt-in-your-mouth quality, and tasted amazing! My wife almost caused a scene with every bite she took. We finished off our night with a Cookie Butter Semifreddo that was HANDS DOWN the best dessert either of us have ever had. If you’re looking for an exquisite dining experience that’s moderately priced, I highly recommend checking out Eleven. I know we’ll be back!

The Hartwood Restaurant enjoys a rich history. The originally the headquarters of the Harmar Coal Company. Purchased in 1988, the building was transformed into retail space, including antiques and a bookstore. Café tables were soon added amongst the book shelves, Over the years, The Hartwood Restaurant has evolved into a charming and unique place for meals, drinks, and events. The elegant dining rooms and a pub featuring hand-tooled woodwork and stained glass artwork.
The Hartwood also features outdoor dining in a garden-like atmosphere, complete with a wood burning fireplace. Whisper’s Pub features an eclectic wine list from around the world with more than a dozen different wines by the glass, as well as seasonal cocktails, craft beers, and wine flights.

My husband and I went to Hartwood for his birthday dinner. The service was quick and attentive. We shared the shrimp wontons as an appetizer. I got the halibut special and he ordered the scallops. Everything was prepared and seasoned to perfection. We both loved our meals. He liked the mushroom and asparagus risotto so much that he ordered an extra side of it! We both highly recommend Hartwood for a nice date night or special occasion.

Food was delicious and portions were large. My espresso martini was perfectly made. Our server JR was fantastic. Highly recommend trying The Venue. It is on par with any high-end restaurant we have dined at in Pittsburgh.
