We adhere to the craftsmanship of traditional Japanese cuisine. Chef Kenkichi Yamamoto handpicks the freshest ingredients of the season, using them to inspire the creation of all his dishes. Our kaiseki prix fixe menu has traditional Japanese flavors mixed with french elements featuring shun (seasonal) ingredients. The 9 courses range from the chef's interpretation of sashimi to unique steamed, boiled and grilled dishes. Back on the Beach Café is situated along a wide, sandy white beach that offers jaw-dropping views of the ocean waves, the pier, the mountain range and of course, Catalina Island. There is both indoor and outdoor seating which allows you to enjoy the sea-salt air and sandy toes while you dine.

The café takes reservations for 2-12 guest. Reservations are available one month in advance. To accommodate our reservations in a timely and orderly manner, the café has carefully designed time frames in which to dine. The café designates 25% of the restaurant for reservations, 75% is available for walkup service.

For reservations of 12 or more guest, please contact the restaurant directly. We don't take multiple group reservations. Please note that large group reservations requires a customizable menu.

In consideration of all guest, we kindly remind you that tables are reserved for 1.5 hours.
We take a maximum of two credit cards payment per table.

I had a great experience at Casa Nostra all around. The service was very attentive and quick. The manager, waiter, and bussers were all very sharp and worked together to get us anything we asked for immediately. We had three dishes that we split between two people. It was a perfect amount of food, and they were kind enough to pre-split the dishes since they knew we were sharing. The mozzarella and tomatoes in the caprese were perfectly fresh. The branzino was cooked to the ideal temperature. We appreciated the basket of fresh bread they bring out at the beginning as well. It's a very nice restaurant that's not cramped in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. I will be returning with more friends and family.

Today,the family opened up Brunello Trattoria and expands their empire to the eastern edge of Culver City to turn out solid southern Italian food. Fun Italian family restaurant! Delicious food—one of the best in LA. Daniel and his sister Valeria wait on the tables..mom Vincenza in the kitchen and dad Bruno helps too! Make a reservation now!! We had not been to this restaurant previously and were delighted to learn of it. We decided to split 5 small plate appetizers and each was more delicious than the last. We left satiated in both appetite and taste buds. We will go back for sure. Service was excellent from being checked in to a table to the wait staff!

Large reasonably priced portions are the draw here. Service was slow and somewhat inattentive. We didn't get our bottle of wine until after we had finished our first course.
