We are open for curbside pickup, takeout and delivery and offering a 10% discount on all orders! Lunch will be open from 12pm-2:30pm & Dinner from 5:30pm-9:30pm.

Italian owners, Tony Cotrufo and Enrico Fiorentini, both hail from Rome and have been serving fresh authentic Italian cuisine at their Playa Del Rey location since 1997. They offer homemade pastas, an excellent wine list, outdoor seating and daily specials.

Caffe Pinguini was awarded with the "Marchio Ospitalita" Italiana - Seal of Authenticity". The seal distinguishes those restaurants with the highest quality of Italian hospitality.

Excellent food. My wife and I shared the muscles arrabiata and fillet with shrimp, the flaming brandy was exciting and dramatic. Plenty if food. Butter cake dessert was also delicious. Our friend was very happy with the salmon with vodka sauce. Our server was very friendly and attentive.

I have dined, got smashed drunk and literally crawled out of many a smoky yakitori alley joint in the bowels of Tokyo and Osaka but I must say that HASU serves up the best, most authentic, grilled yard bird this side of the Pacific!! Yeah, it ain’t cheap but you get what you pay for here and I find it amazing and a blessing that such a truly legit place exists in a Southbay strip mall, conveniently located close to the 405 and 91. Plus they gots my fav Japanese brew, Asahi Super Dry, on tap and also Hamachi Kama for a nice change of pace. Service is so friendly and nostalgic of Japan…….what more can I say!!!

It was my friend birthday lunch. Waitress Bronica was super nice and her smile was amazing! brought us a nice & Fun atmosphere. And- other people who served us were all courteous and made us feel important! Thank you again, Will come back again and again….
