The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments. Diners are invited to take a break from the rush of modern life and travel back to the time of George Woolf, Seabiscuit, and relive the excitement of “The Race of the Century”. Outstanding! In everyway….. Food was some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had Service was outstanding…. Food was brought out quickly and every dish looked amazing. Our server was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that we all had what we needed and our drinks were refilled. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and made some excellent recommendations that we really enjoyed. One detail (among many others) that stood out to me right away was the quality and presentation of thier kids menu items. Gus’s BBQ is a place that makes you want to come back again and again. In fact we enjoyed it so much that we reserved a table for breakfast tomorrow. If you haven’t been to Gus’s BBQ I would encourage you to put it on the “bucket list”

Asked my girlfriend out here and the experience was amazing, when we entered no one was at the front desk so instead of waiting we took the opportunity to take photos here and honestly it was worth the wait so then we got seated, we were recommended some drinks i got the one in a melon, and ordered fried oysters, birria empenadas, flat iron steak, and the seafood pasta, all of it was 10/10 experience was 9/10, and our waitress gave us a celebratory cake so we really appreciate it.
