Right in the heart of Little Tokyo, “Kagaya” has established itself a top tier shabu shabu restaurant. Now, the torches have been handed to a new head chef and owner, the next generation to carry the torches of tradition and exquisite flavor, with the new name of TENSHO.

Trained in traditional Japanese cookery, this 23 year veteran chef is on his way to introducing a new wave of Japanese delicacies to the States. As close as you can get to Japan itself, this chef brings his revisioned menu, with patron favorites, and extensive sake list. The desert and a la carte menu is designed by their French trained chef.

The wagyu beef is of A5 rank. The seafood, carefully selected to be of highest quality. Food that is not only delicious but also good for the health.

The best shabu shabu outside of Japan. Beautifully delicate, balanced, and delicious appetizers, the highest quality sourced vegetables, Japanese wagyu and the best angus prime, and delectable and u forgettable desserts. Did I mention they have Premium Malts?

The service was phenomenal! The lady who was keeping track of the orders was the best I have ever seen. I ordered 6 dinners and everything in the order was correct. This was my first time at this establishment and definitely will not be my last!

Went here to celebrate my daughter’s 20th birthday. Great food and service. Had 12 oysters and two lobster sandwiches. Took her for street beer and tacos after bc it was so close. What a beautiful day!

The food was excellent, however the experience was made amazing by our server, Savior. He was exceptional. We had friends in from Thailand and he asked how to speak some phrases in Thai! This was a great first impression for us and our guests. We will be back!

Love this place! It is beautifully decorated and has delicious food. I will definitely go back just to try different items on the menu. The Lounge has a cool Bar and great seating to meet up with friends to have dinner and drinks. This place has a great vibe!

Poppy+Rose's Rooftop Patio is currently closed; all groups will be seated in our indoor dining room located at 765 Wall Street.

Poppy+Rose welcomes walk-ins 7 days a week. For groups up to 8, reservations can be made Mon-Thurs via Open Table. We do not take reservations on Friday or Saturday for groups under 9.

For groups of 9+ we offer large party pricing and reservations 7 days a week for our dining room only. Worth a visit for breakfast whether you're shopping the LA Flower Mart or not! I changed up and went with the shrimp n grits. The grits were better than most in town and the dish was flavor-packed! I could go for more grits in the serving though. My date had the crab benedict which she loved, with the exception of the biscuit. I had to agree, it was a little too dense. You can't miss with the chicken and waffles here. I also tried the Rose Mojito for the first time and the second time, lol! Really good, so be careful!
