The Curious Cafe & Bistro is an independent, small family run business based on the Bath Road in Cheltenham. This business has been in the same family for over 16 years now and it has been the best rollercoaster we have ever been on.

We are here to serve up those hearty breakfasts, yummy lunches, homemade cakes and exquisite burgers. We pride ourselves on our welcoming atmosphere, gorgeous garden, boutique decor and most importantly our fabulous food. All our food is cooked fresh and made to order.

In the evenings we are open for pop-up's. These are all displayed on our website, so keep an eye out for more up-to-date information.

Our garden has heaters and blankets, so alfresco dining doesn't sound too bad after all.

The White Horse inn was built in the 17th century as a farmhouse, the architectural details suggest it was built in the early 1600's, maybe as early as circa 1600. There are several examples of stop chamfer moldings on the beams in the downstairs bar and restaurant that are typical of this date. The wide oak floorboards on the first floor and attic also suggests 17th century as does the positioning of the inglenook fireplace. The quality of the timber frame indicates a high status house and unusually thetimbers on the first floor appear of a higher quality than the ground floor.

Ibrahim Sow, zunächst chef de bouché, chef de entremetier, chef de gardemanger, chef de saucier, chef de tournant, chef de legumes, sous chef und seit Anfang des Jahres 2017 neuer kreativer Küchenchef im „Kleinen Kiepenkerl“ ist der Meinung: „Unsere Küche steht für Bodenständigkeit, Kreativität, Raffinesse und gehört deshalb zu einer der traditionsreichsten Küchen NRW´s“.

The lounge offers a large horse-shoe shaped eat-up bar with high and low tables that flow into the adjacent covered terrace and will open to the outside with large disappearing pocket doors. The outdoor garden terrace includes a long linear firepit to enjoy drinks while overlooking the stunning view of hole 9 South framed by the Santa Rosa mountains. A multi-purpose room is available for card playing, kid’s events, seminars and private events and will be opened to the Lounge for special events like the Super Bowl party.
