Our server Chris was great! 10/10 The food was delicious as always. Definitely recommend. Obviously this place is on the higher end, but definitely worth it for a special occasion. My mom had a great birthday! The crème brûlée is worth mentioning as it was SOOO good!

The Folk’s Folly story began in 1977 with unconventional origins, as the best stories often do.

Native son Humphrey Folk, Jr. was a prominent and shrewd developer, whose hard work carried him all over the country, cultivating his sincere appreciation of food and fine wine.

Undaunted by a complete lack of restaurant or culinary experience, he decided to convert a quaint and intimate house into a small eatery. His peers offered little encouragement, so he added the word “folly” to his own name, and Memphis’ Original Prime Steak House was born.

With only a gentleman's handshake to signify agreement, Humphrey Folk welcomed famed Memphis restaurateur Thomas Boggs as managing partner of Folk's Folly in 2003.

This partnership built the bridge to the next generation and Folk's Folly Prime Steak House remains a family affair.

We went for a quiet anniversary dinner and were not disappointed. The staff made us feel special, and even had the table decorated for the event. Of course, the main thing is the food, and as always, the steaks were to die for. Wait staff were attentive but not intrusive; just right. Wine list is very good as well. If you would like a little pampering, this is the place.

Ummmm what can I say. The waiter was a little silly, he was a bit condescending BUT the food was pretty good and it helped me rizz a girl so I’m giving 5 stars. She gave me a kiss at the end of the night so well worth the money I spent. We were the youngest people there by a few decades but we enjoyed the company of geriatrics.

We had an amazing time celebrating our anniversary at the restaurant. The overall experience was fantastic. The food surpassed our expectations - it was expertly prepared, well-seasoned, and served with great care. Both of us decided to order the fish, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The service provided throughout our dinner was consistently top-notch and added to the overall enjoyment of the evening.

Showcasing ingredient-forward cocktails and approachable bar fare ideal for sharing, this is the place to take in all that Midtown has to offer.

Dress Code-Smart casual. Dress to impress. Baseball caps and beanies are not allowed and men must have on a collared shirt, sweater or blazer. All genders no athletic apparel (tank tops, spandex, or sweatpants). Undergarments should not be exposed.

Our parking lot is for overnight hotel guests only. Parking is located at the Overton Square Garage. Please bring a valid ID.

Beautiful bar but the tuna "nachos" were nearly inedible (wontons were incredibly stale). A+ service, however!

We had a wonderful server that we had met at previous meals- Anastasia. She did an excellent job of helping us select and serving us. We shared the famous K pie among four of us! The perfect ending to a delicious meal.
