Tsunami is always amazing. The weather was great so we sat on the patio. Nicole was a knowledgeable and helpful waitress. The meatball appetizer was one of the best apps we’ve had here. Highly recommend them. The barramundi special on top of a fennel and orange salad might be my all time favorite dish at Tsunami. Will definitely be back.

Another awesome experience at Coastal. Met a friend for a glass of wine and appetizer - I ordered the crab cake and she had oysters on the half shell. Both were delicious! Our server, Charis was wonderful - very professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made sure we were well taken care of and enjoyed our time there. Will definitely be back and will always recommend to my friends and family!

“Look Good. Eat Good.” are the words emblazoned on the front windows at the Beauty Shop. This hip and trendy restaurant in the Cooper-Young district of midtown Memphis does both, as it conjures up images of a ‘50s-style beauty shop, formerly Priscilla Presley’s curl-and-dye spot. It’s a camp wonderland where the façade is Jetsons-era Vitrolite, and choice seating is offered beneath hooded Belvedere hair dryers.

Nostalgia is served with a sense of humor here. The beauty shop flashback comes complete with original mint green wash basins filling in as sinks behind the hand built bar, made of tiger maple wood. The terrazzo floor is original. Glass brick stalls serve as intimate booths. Mixed with the retro renderings are modern touches such as hand-blown art-glass lights, and glamorous copper and silver-leaf walls.

This is such a quaint and cozy hideout across from the Redbirds stadium. Our server Benny and bartender Yana took really great care of us. They truly added to our enjoyable experience. The food and drinks were superb as well. I will definitely be back.
