The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize. Previously operating as a speakeasy, the expansive wood panels were perfect for hiding a little booze and one can only imagine the shenanigans going on beyond the hidden staircase behind the coat check. For decades following, The Lex, as it’s called by locals and enthusiasts alike, was the place to be seen; business dealings, cocktail hours, and milestone celebrations were a regular occurrence for St. Paul socialites.

Hubby and I had our anniversary dinner at the Lex, one of our favorite restaurants. The service was attentive, our server was knowledgeable about the menu and specials, the food delicious.

We had a wonderful evening at Holman’s Table! The ambiance was wonderful and it was so fun to see planes coming and going. The food and service were outstanding! We definitely will return!

Always a delightful experience! The food is delicious, beautifully plated, the place is gorgeous and ambiance is fun. We had a great time as a group of four. Drinks are beautiful and tasty. There were 7 of us and everyone raved about the quality of the food. We go out monthly and said several times that we'll have to come back as we were able to actually have conversations at our table and not strain to hear each other. Our waiter was wonderful. He was attentive without hovering. If you want good Italian food and a great atmosphere, this is the place to go.

Slow night. Had reservations at 7:30pm for 13 and only two other tables were occupied. Thus the noise level was low. Jesus was our server and did a wonderful job. The only complaint I have is that they did not have any soup. One member in our party has dietary needs and soup met that requirement. That was a major disappointment since it was on your menu.
