About the restaurant
The first & only steakhouse of its kind in the Louisville area, Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse serves only dry-aged USDA prime beef. While steak is the foundation of the menu, Jeff Ruby's promises to please seafood lovers as well with its raw/sushi bar & seafood entrees.
Jeff Ruby regulars will be pleased to know that their favorite signature items from the Cincinnati restaurants will be well represented in Louisville. The bone-in filet, the 7 cheese baked macaroni, creamed spinach, truffle flake, & of course Jeff Ruby's secret recipe cheesecake are all staples of the Louisville menu.
Styled after the great NY steakhouses of the 1930s & '40s, Jeff Ruby's promises to be as pleasing visually as it is to the palate. French art-deco design, plush mohair upholstery, hand-selected antique furniture, and cinematic crystal chandeliers anchored by a 1950s-era antique are featured in the Starz series Magic City and the 32-foot wall of wine.

Only one small negative. The strawberry skillet dessert option was lackluster. It wasn’t bad, but just not at the level of excellence where the bar at Jeff Ruby’s is set. It felt very premade and warmed over rather than fresh. Otherwise, another stellar dinging performance. The steaks, sides, and appetizers were fantastic. Wait staff Josh & Graham were extremely knowledgeable and attentive to any needs. Floor manager was visible all evening, attentive to guests and his staff without being intrusive. In a world of watered down expectations, Jeff Ruby’s continues to set the standard for uncompromising quality of both food and service.

Open for dinner, for a quick bite or an elegant full table dining experience. The menu includes small plates and entrees with a variety of cured meats, artisanal cheeses, flat breads and our special daily entree. The eclectic wine program lead by Master Sommelier Scott Harper serves a huge wine selection including more than 55 wines available by the taste or glass. Our award wining wine list is all available for retail to go sales.

Had an awesome dinner paired with some exceptional wines from Pine Mountain Vineyard in Cloverdale, CA. Met and chatted with Nikki Mustard, Business Manager and co-owner of Pine Mountain and had a great talk with her. The wines paired extraordinarily well with Chef Berry's special preparations - small plate Chicken "Lollipop" satay with snow peas, a Lamb Stew, and the new-to-the-regular-menu Flat Iron steak with Bleu Cheese sauce and haricot verts. Staff is always friendly and attentive, and we must offer congratulations to Cuvee for their LEO Weekly Reader's Choice Award for Best Wine List! If you go, be sure to check out their retail selection - it is hard to beat! Master Sommelier Scott Harper always has an awesome selection of delicious wines to take home (or drink at the restaurant!).

Situated in the historic airport terminal of Bowman Field, Le Relais offers a fine dining experience like no other in Louisville. Here you’ll find exquisite French cuisine, prepared with only the finest, freshest ingredients, combined with relaxed, first-class service and an intimate, 1940s art-deco interior reminiscent of the café from the movie “Casablanca”.

Service was ok. Our server was slow and they were not busy. The wine is very good and the food is pretty good not great. It is a bit expensive for what you get. We all liked the wine flights. Great atmosphere!

Resident lamb guy here. Tonight I tried something different: Bourguignon. Oh my God is it amazing! The gravy is so good I had the owner remove the bowl so I wouldn’t be tempted to lick it clean. This comes highly recommended with a glass of Redhead.
