hiko-A-mon is a dining experience like traditional yet modern Japanese influenced by European and South East Asia. The menu features modern Japanese dishes as well as signature offerings inspired by traditional restaurants in Kyoto, Japan, where chef hiko was born and grown up. Also, hiko-A-mon has a noticeable wine list as well as a sake and shochu list. This is because Chef Hiko has a passion for wine. You can enjoy nice Japanese dishes with nice wine, sake and shochu. hiko-A-mon’s environment is well-suited to singles, couples and families. The sushi bar seats up to twelve guests, there are three special booths that seats six guests each, and there are bench-sheet tables up to sixteen guests. The food was excellent and all personnel we interacted with were pleasant and helpful. They quickly accomodated us when we requested a different table than the one they had set aside for our reservation. The primary issue with our dining experience was the food & drink ordering system. While they provide hard menus at the table, they request you place your order through a link. The on-line ordering was cumbersome to navigate and the items listed don't always align with the hard menu provided.

8/23/24 We had received an email from Bravos telling us that the Summer Specials would be ending soon and was giving us an e-gift of $20 off $50. We made our reservation and headed on over to Bravos! Italian Kitchen at 206 Bullitt Ln. Our server tonight was Jessica, making this about our 5th visit together. She knows us pretty well by now, so I told her I wanted to try one of the Summer Special entrees, and she explained to me what the Rigatoni Pesto was. It was Rigatoni tossed with grilled chicken, asparagus, cream sauce, pesto, tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. She thought I would like it. My husband decided to have his favorite entree at Bravo, Spaghetti Bolognese. So we gave her our orders and started eating some of our bread. Our meals were out in a very short time, steam flying from them. I really did like the Rigatoni Pesto and of course, my husband loved his Spaghetti Bolognese. I had enough left of my very large portion for our lunches tomorrow. We chatted with the Manager/Chef about what’s coming to Bravo in the fall. They are also going to be expanding their catering services. Then Hannah their other Manager came by the table to show us her new baby’s picture. Since it was my husband’s birthday, they brought him out a bowl of vanilla bean gelato with a lit candle. They even took a picture of Jessica setting the bowl down in front of him for the marketing department. It was the perfect ending to a perfect night.

Everything was fine, but the prices can be a bit much (salad and bruschetta for two with no drinks was $50), and their HVAC was having some issues so it was a bit warm. Still, our server was excellent and the food was good. Not a bad place for a quick date night with my wife, just not the cheapest, either.

The food was off. The ribs had a weird citrus, salty flavor to them - almost like lemon pepper - they were advertised as bourbon bbq. They were not edible.
