The Tandoori Platter was absolutely delicious. The Chicken Tikka with rice and naan, complemented with a New Delhi Sunset, was a very satisfactory meal. The service could not have been any better.

Ajanta features regional dishes from all over India, offered through a menu that changes every month. We feature organic chicken and vegetables. When possible, we use local and sustainable products. All seafood is sustainable, obtained from Monterey Fish Market. All meats are hormone- and antibiotic-free.

Ajanta has been voted best Indian restaurant in the entire San Francisco Bay Area by Zagat Guide from 2009-2014. We were also voted best Indian restaurant in the Bay Area A-List contest from 2009-2011 and 2013. Food quality was great. Service was not attentive, but personnel were friendly. Tidyness of restaurant could be improved. Table not bussed promptly and men's room dirty. Could be an outstanding dining experience, but it's lacking leadership it appears. Staffing issues in the People's Republic of California probably are not helping.

Tiya is an absolutely beautiful experience for the taste, the eyes and the smell. The way the chefs have cared about every single dish and brought out such rich flavors is fantastic. We had the vegetarian tasting menu, it was a great mix of traditional Indian flavors combined with infusion of other tastes; our family of 4 really enjoyed it. The chaat, the asparagus and the payasam dessert were top notch. The staff and ambience were great too.
