Located in Oakland’s historic Grand Lake District, Bardo is a neighborhood lounge and restaurant inspired by the comfort and camaraderie of a mid-century dinner party. Drawing on the celebration and elegance of old school entertaining, we envisioned a space for friends and neighbors to enjoy amazing food, cocktails, conversation and great music.

Our lounge is a swank living room, furnished with hand-picked finds from antique and vintage markets from Palm Springs to Portland. Our mezzanine dining room features a rotating menu of fresh, seasonal supper-fare with local and sustainably sourced meats, fish and produce. The food here was impeccable. Pretty sure I’ll be craving the Cilbir (brunch menu) for the rest of my life. Very authentic, high quality ingredients and fairly priced. The ambiance was very cute - warm and inviting. The service left a little something to be desired, drinks took forever to arrive, water glasses sat empty multiple times. There was no check back between when our food arrived and when the bill came. Would definitely go again … just for the food!!

Flemings is outstanding time and time again! Wonderful quality food, great service and atmosphere, and always a great dining experience. Our server, Ashley, was awesome, upbeat, positive and friendly. From Ahi Tuna to the wedge salads, a perfect filet, and an excellent sea bass, we had another delicious dinner!

Met friends for a casual late lunch on a Saturday. It was not crowded, so noise level was good to chat and socialize. Great ambiance and friendly service, food and drinks were good. Prices were on the higher end but all tasted good and was well presented. it looks like they have a good happy hour to try out. My only disappointment was that the photo of chicken tortilla soup was filled with avocado , but my bowl had none ☹️ though the soup was very good.
