Great gluten free bread! Had it with the breakfast sandwich. Potatoes were gluten free. My husband got the pork hash that was a little overdone unfortunately

I always love going to Ale Marys for their vegan food. Any time I post about it though on vegan detroit, it looks like the main complaints are the food and shake prices, so I'm worried that they will get rid of the menu if there isn't much support. I gave it 4 stars for the food only because the business to cut costs, are using prepackaged coffee and not grinding beans anymore, and we were served the new coffee and it was absolutely awful. Even the waitress tried it and was embarrassed. I don't know what establishment implements something new without trying it first. It tasted like someone dumped a tablespoon of salt in it. It was a fresh batch. I will always support Ale Marys as long as they keep the vegan menu. I love all the new dishes/weekly or monthly specials. The only downside is , that may be the only time you will ever have it . The prices are higher than other vegan establishments, and I'm not sure who's paying $20 for a shake, with no alcohol in it, but it's there for a special occasion I guess.

It’s always a reliable place for tasty food but it was quite loud and we were seated in the middle of the room- it seemed like people were always banging into our chairs like we were in the way. The waitress was great, but the people who delivered the food were border-line rude.
