In the Fall of 2005, Piergiorgio Ceciarelli opened a restaurant with a goal - to serve the best food with the warmest service and atmosphere. Piergiorgio Ceciarelli has been a restaurateur for 30 years. He started in South Florida where he built a reputation for excellent food, warm and fun atmosphere, and genuine heartfelt service. Winning the award for Best Restaurant Owner 2001. Citi Link said…always has a warm smile when he greets you and a grateful thank you when he bids you Ciao& at the end of a meal. Originally from Rome, he has lived in California, Mexico, Florida, and now New Jersey, where he resides with his wife and children.

In the 15th Century, Prince Henry the navigator ordered his explorers to bring back to Portugal any exotic fruits, nuts and plants from the new lands. Tomatoes and potatoes are taken to Europe, Brazilian pineapples were introduced to Azores, Brazilian chili peppers grew in Angola, African coffee was transplanted to Brazil.
Today the Portuguese fondness for ingredients like cinnamon or curry powder, is also a legacy of his time. The Romans brought wheat and introduced onion, garlic, olives and grapes. Later the Moors were the first to plant rice and introduced figs, planted groves of lemons, oranges and almond trees. Portugal is a seafaring nation with a well-developed fishing industry trading cod since the 15th century.
Today, naturally, Portuguese cuisine varies from region to region , but fresh fish and shellfish are found on virtually every menu. BOM APETITE!!!!

Salvando que se adaptan al gusto del país y que en absoluto podemos hablar de comida portuguesa o española como la conocemos los nativos, fue nuestra mejor experiencia, tanto por el trato como por una comida y producto en general bien tratado. A mejorar los bolhos de bacallao. Muy recomendable si estás por la zona, buen pan, olivas, patatas españolas o sea cortadas con mandolina y fritas en aceite y resto correcto. Volveremos.

No shows or cancellations less than 24 hours in advance will be subject to a charge of $25 per person. In an effort to accommodate all guests, table times are predetermined via party size.

As of September 1, 2022, Il Nido will no longer allow outside alcohol of any kind into the establishment. It is imperative that all guests abide by the guidelines set in place by the New Jersey Division of Alcohol Beverage Control. We are delighted to be able to now offer you an assortment of artisanal cocktails, beer and very price friendly wine list to enhance your dining experience with us.
