Cansado de manejar grandes distancias y de pagar demasiado por comer fuera, Steve Silverstein decidió construir el restaurante que anhelaba. El nombre Not Your Average Joe’s se originó en la determinación de Steve de crear un restaurante excelente en todo sentido. El quería crear un lugar único en el área, donde la gente supiera el nombre de los comensales, donde la comida fuera estupenda, y los precios accesibles, un lugar donde sentirse especial sin tener que vestirse de lujo.
