Byng Street Nights is a fantastic venue. The food portions are generous (made to share) and are of high quality. The waitstaff were very efficient, welcoming and knowledgeable about the meals and wine. We thought that it is excellent value for money and is a restaurant highly recommended to enjoy.

Once known as Larry Galvin's Commercial Hotel, this historic building has stood the test of time, witnessing the growth and evolution of Nyngan since its beginnings in 1883.

Originally a modest wooden structure, the hotel underwent a transformation into the sturdy brick building that still graces the corner of Nymagee and Dandaloo Streets today. Through the years, it has weathered numerous challenges, from world wars to natural disasters.

Under the proud ownership of the Stanton Family, The Nyngan has recently undergone a significant restoration project, breathing new life into its historic walls while preserving its rich heritage. Now fully licensed and equipped to cater to guests, it offers a welcoming atmosphere, delicious dining options, comfortable accommodation, and beautiful event spaces.

Passing back through town and stayed at the Nyngan again. This time was not Monday so Restaurant & Beer garden was open. We started with a drink in the beer garden but it got a bit cold so we moved into the dining room. Staff were very helpful and accomodating. Food was excelent. Grilled Cauliflower salad and the Ribs. Service was friendly. Very relaxed and comfortable. A great set up overall after a beautiful renovation. We stayed the night and were very impressed.

Amazing food, so fresh, innovative and definitely inviting. The service was fantastic. Four of us dined and we all immensely enjoyed our food. The place was at capacity and we didn’t feel neglected at all, the food also came out quite quickly. Would recommend highly and look forward to coming again.

Lac trattoria serves good generous portioned food at a reasonable price. The menu is extensive with additional specials and an Italian flavour. The service is efficient and friendly. Highly recommended.
