An experience that starts the minute you open the door and you are greeted in such a personable, friendly manner by the gorgeous owner Lauren You take another step, and your senses take you back to the beautiful art Deco, genteel, and jazz times of past As your eyes move from one part of the venue to another, the luxury Art Deco inspired space of velvet, gold chandeliers, and soft lighting, amongst booths, high tables, and bar seating takes your breath away, and yet within that luxury, the ambience is one of warmth, cosiness professional service and friendship....and we still haven't yet sat down. As we sit and peruse the array of delectable food, of which we chose; warmed olives, oysters three ways and a trio of dips with flat bread, their were many other gorgeous sharing dishes to choose from. The menu was perfect for sharing, was absolutely delicious, and perfectly accompanied with a French champagne flight of 4 beautiful French champagne tasters. All again presented beautifully, The drinks menu of champagne, wine, red, beers, cocktails, and non alcoholic drinks would make any person happy. After our champagne flight, our next winning choice was the raspberry gin cosmopolitan.... amazing...so amazing, we both had to have another. Venue-gorgeous -💕 Ambience-classy and warm 💖 Menu-delicious💗 Champagne-amazing🩷 Cocktails-had to have more than one ❣️ Service- excellent, knowledgeable, professional, friendly💚💙🩷 Absolutely love love love Sip champagne Bar. Thank you, Lauren , David and Freya for your beautiful venue and amazing evening. We will be back soon. From Jane and Karen

Bendigo
About the restaurant
Take it slow… Have a drink to start. Enjoy a cocktail, local wine or craft beer, Share a snack or two in our dedicated Bar.
Smell the delicious smokiness of Bendigo’s only dedicated steakhouse & grill, where we use local redgum on the grill; there’s nothing quite like the flavour of meat cooked over redgum. The natural smoky flavours and aromas created by this unique timber are something truly special. In the finest tradition of steakhouses, we use locally sourced meat and the very best in fresh, regional produce.

Showcasing 350 wines, including 28 by the glass, including some seriously interesting wines curated by our inhouse Sommelier. With local wines taking pride of place, including some intriguing European offerings, plus a supporting cast of spirits, beers and other beverages, including a decent alcohol-free selection. Cocktail drinkers will be impressed with our seasonally curated list.

Our menu is updated seasonally and available on our website.

Port Fairy
About the restaurant
The Merrijig Kitchen is housed in the historic Merrijig Inn {1842), known as Victoria's oldest Inn. Situated across from the Port Fairy wharf, in the heart of gorgeous Port Fairy.
We are HIGH on atmosphere and write our menu daily, after Tanya chats with our fish monger, veggie growers, local butcher and any of our wonderful local gardeners who may pop in with their backgarden produce.
We spend a lot of time on our drinks program, offering our local Henty wine region producers, smattered between regional and international producers adhering to organic and biodynamic practises.
We love a bespoke cocktail, which we make inspired by our garden and of course, offer local artisan beer on tap.
Pop in, we'd love to see you whilst you are enjoying Port Fairy!
