Terra restaurant is located at Tottington Manor which is beautifully situated in the South Downs National Park with hillside and farmland views, yet it is just 10 minutes from the A23 at Pyecombe and the A27 at Shoreham.

With a menu showcasing the best of local ingredients cooked fresh each day by our team of chefs, you can enjoy dinner in the restaurant, or outside on our decking, or in winter time, choose our more relaxed fire side Olive Restaurant.

In addition we have a number of private dining options available from 6 to 95.

Our South Downs Suite is completely separate with its own private garden, stretch tent and bar and is ideal for family celebrations, parties and of course Weddings. Booked a table for 2pm but they'd already run out of stuffing, soon after they'd run out of Yorkshire puddings. We were in a nice corner but it meant that we kept getting overlooked for service: no extra drinks offered and we asked for the dessert menu but it was over 40 minutes before we had our order taken - and that was only because we went to the bar. That said, the welcome was friendly, had a lovely garden, good choice of drinks and the food good. Would go back.

The Fountain Ashurst is a 16th Century Pub located in the beautiful village of Ashurst, West Sussex.

It is quintessentially English with flagstone flooring, low beams and plenty of cosy corners and comfortable seating.

Overall a good meal and we were outside and given good and timely service both for food and drink. The only issue is that we sat at an outside table and there was full sunshine. The outside table umbrella was down so we put it up for reasonable shade, however there was no umbrella safety weight under the table. There was a gust of wind and the umbrella came out of the table and landed on one of our group. Luckily nobody was hurt but I would strongly recommend the addition of umbrella weighted stands below the table to maintain umbrella stability.

First, I was thrilled to book the Fox from our home in NY. Hooray for websites. We’ve eaten at the Fox many times as we visit family nearby. The restaurant provides delicious food and a wide range of drinks. The pub atmosphere is heartwarming to an Anglophile Yank who loves Ted Lasso among other British traditions. Service is friendly and doesn’t rush its patrons. It’s a wonderful place rich with history.

The Shepherd & Dog has maintained all the traditions you would expect in a country pub but with an unrivalled view in an outstanding setting at the bottom of Devils Dyke. Haven’t been here since it changed hands, what a refreshing change. Superb food, generous portions, very good value. The service was excellent, plenty of various size tables all spread out. Lovely outdoor area too. We will definitely be back very soon and have recommended to friends. It’s ideally located and great parking too. So glad we returned
