MICHELIN Green Star | Bib Gourmand | At Pythouse Kitchen Garden, you'll find an idyllic atmosphere in which to enjoy fantastic food. We offer covered outdoor seating in our glorious garden and indoor seating in the conservatory and potting shed. Pythouse Kitchen Garden is a lunchtime destination only at present.Head chef Darren Broom's passion lies in producing food with an unmistakable sense of terroir. For Darren, provenance is not just the backstory to his ingredients, it’s everywhere in the look, feel and taste of his food.
We are keen to champion our own produce first and foremost, providing guests with a unique and ever-changing insight into the seasons. We work closely with the garden team to manage and maintain the garden and to deliver a programme of regeneration and sustainability.

The Ox Barn is a 56-seater destination restaurant under the direction of Head Chef, Charlie Hibbert. Rooted in a passion for the local land, food and entertaining, the carefully curated menus are farm-based and plant-inspired. His team and the gardeners at Thyme work together to select and grow the fruits, vegetables and herbs used to create his Modern British Countryside fare. The nineteenth century former oxen house is the newest addition to the family of meticulously restored farm buildings. A state-of-the-art piece of agricultural architecture at its conception, Caryn Hibbert worked meticulously to preserve the soaring archways and original Cotswold stone rubble walls, to now house a modern, dining destination - including a contemporary bar and seven and a half metre Charvet open kitchen - to allow for an authentic, heritage-rich dining experience, enabled by today’s best culinary technologies.

Richard, Beth and Team are delighted to welcome you their charming, 18th Century Pub, The Dumb Post Inn, a picturesque village pub situated in the village of Bremhill, with good links to the stunning City of Bath.Conveniently situated between Calne and Chippenham, with beautiful views over the nearby Bowood estate, The Dumb Post is an award winning, traditional country gastropub, offering quality cask ales and exceptional home cooked food using locally sourced ingredients.
Family owned since 2009, but only managed by the family since 2019, Richard stepped away from his career as an aircraft engineer, to protect this much loved pub and to ensure that The Dumb Post could run to its potential.
Richard and Beth both grew up in Bremhill and are driven by a passion for the area as well as this historic, family owned pub. They take enormous pride in offering the best local produce available, including the family farm for their supply of lamb and beef.

The Slaughters Country Inn offers delicious food, simply prepared, using the finest Cotswold produce. The menu is complemented by a wide selection of local ales, showcasing the best the region has to offer.Not to be missed is the sharing platter, made up of local cheeses and meats, the day’s selection of breads and The Slaughters Country Inn pickles. Guests can also expect to see dishes on the menu such as Gloucestershire black pudding salad, rustic country terrine and local fish and chips.
Afternoon tea, including home-made scones and sandwiches, can also be enjoyed on the terrace with a glass of Champagne in the summer months or by the fire with a pot of tea when winter draws in.
