Welcome to The Elephant Restaurant
The Elephant is a bright, informal restaurant which is situated near the beautiful Torbay harbour. It was the first restaurant in Torquay to be awarded a Michelin star which it maintains today. We aim to source all our ingredients locally and sustainably, many from our dedicated farm in Brixham.

Run by chef proprietor, Simon Hulstone and his wife Katy. Food is cooked by a talented team of chefs and served by friendly, professional team of staff.

Due to the style of cooking we cannot produce dairy free menus & therefore cannot provide vegan options.

A deposit is required to make reservations on special days of the year, on our special events, or for tables of 6 or more. This is paid over the phone by calling 01803 200044.

Children's menu is only available at lunch for ages 10 and under.

Tasting menu only available in the evening unless requested via phone in advance.

Our first visit to The Linny, on recommendation from a friend and we weren’t disappointed What a gem of a find, we went for lunch with a friend, the car park was full midweek so we knew to expect something good, however it was better than just good, it was fabulous! Fantastic, extensive and varied menu, something for everyone. The food itself was first class, beautifully presented and plenty of it, would highly recommend

Authentic and delicious Thai food. You can request mild-hot heat levels for each dish if spice isn’t your thing. A point to note: we found that portions are on the large side. Along with 2 starters and Thai crackers, 4 of us ordered a dish with rice each and could easily have shared a main between 2. We all left quite a bit which hate doing - no room for dessert either!
