Perfect dining experience. Lovely warm staff, super creative and beautifully prepared food, excellent value - fine dining without the stuffiness. My favourite restaurant in Exeter by a mile.

Colourful, vibey, and a little bit eccentric without going over the top. The food was indulgent and creative and included a good selection of veggie options. Best negroni I’ve had in ages. Staff are friendly and fun.

We’re not supposed to be biased, but is there anywhere in the UK more beautiful than Devon? We think not (sorry not sorry). With cathedrals, canals and our very own Bill’s right at the heart (with a sunny outdoor seating area we might add), this place is a feast for the eyes and our food a feast for the belly *chef’s kiss*.

The dome-shaped venue on the Hoe, aptly named The Dome, was designed by architect Tony Irish. The Dome was first opened in July 1988 as part of Mayflower commemorations in Plymouth and started life as a local museum and tourist information centre.

Designed to have the Art Deco feel and opulence of a 1930s ocean liner, the venue’s bar will feature an extensive wine and gin list, a selection of cocktails plus a full range of beers, ciders and soft drinks.

The restaurant’s menu will feature fresh, local and seasonal produce and will include fish sourced from local day boats. We will also be offering traditional afternoon teas.

There will be opportunities for private dining, small weddings and business meetings – all set against a spectacular ocean view backdrop!

We had a birthday meal and the seating excellent with a view although the weather was awful. The starter was nice monkfish scampi with a lovely sauce. My wife’s Main lacked the dressing it was advertised with so we had to ask for this. My fish of the day, skate, was perfect and the fried onions a nice addition at top of the sauce. The potatoes were plentiful and unfortunately some were left :( On a wet day I would have expected someone to have taken our coats? We will visit again.
