Our lovely open-plan restaurant has traditional oak-beams and contemporary furnishings with a harmonious and relaxing ambience. The perfect setting for you to enjoy a romantic dinner, family celebration or night out with friends.
Our Head Chef and his brigade are passionate about food. Every dish on the frequently changing menu is freshly prepared from the finest ingredients – locally sourced wherever possible.
Norfolk is rich in great produce and our kitchen’s philosophy is based on seasonality, provenance and flavour. Game, fish, meat and vegetables are chosen with care daily. We have a close relationship with the finest suppliers in the county and they know that we insist on buying the best. We don’t do run-of-the-mill at The Parson but we do believe in offering great food cooked with passion and flair.
Special dietary requirements are all happily catered for. Please advise when making your reservation.

Welcome to The Red Lion Bishopgate!

On the banks of the River Wensum and a stone's throw from Norwich Cathedral. We serve fresh, locally sourced food all day, everyday. Our head chef Tom has created a menu suitable for everyone, including gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. We serve a delicious Sunday roast every weekend.

Brunch is also available every weekend 10:00am-12 noon. Please see below our food serving times:

Monday - Thursday: 12:00-20:00
Friday & Saturday: 12:00-21:00
Sunday: 12:30-19:00 with a choice of roasts and bar classics.

We always leave some tables free, so if you can't make a booking just pop in to see if you can grab a table! Large car park for customers.

Please note, your booking is allocated for 2 hours.

Tables in the garden are rain proof and we do have heating, but may not be suitable in heavy rain.

Pho Norwich is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We specialise in pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles and healthy salads, too. We also have loads of starters that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular diets. We are accredited by Coeliac UK.
