Good parking. Nice tables plenty of room. Lovely knowledgeable staff. Comprehensive menu. Food well cooked and presented. Good selection of beers and spirits.

Useful to have this place to eat nearby. It was a last minute booking on a Mon night and the restarurant filled up. The food is mostly pizzas and burgers, including gluten free options. Portions are good. they could actually do with slightly less thick topping on some of the pizzas ! They have given the place a bit of a decor overhaul since the previous owners and it is quite funky and fun. Could do with a bit more attention to detail though - an unused tv screen was wedged in a corner next to one table (glad I was not sat there) and the table tops need a proper re-paint as the surface felt slightly 'tacky'. The staff were helpful but not that knowledgable about dietary options and confirming what was possible.

Always a very friendly welcome from all the staff at The George Hotel. Service is always excellent. the food is both delicious and excellent value for money! Beautiful relaxing surroundings. What more could anyone wish for?

Nothing delights quite like The Orator, serving up contemporary British food, cocktails, beer and wine. Set in a stunning Victorian gothic venue with high ceilings bathed in swathes of natural light.

The cocktails were superb. The food was very good and the staff were friendly and efficient. We were disappointed that there wasn't live music, as that was the motivation for booking. I will check before booking another time.
