An absolute pleasure to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday here at the weekend. The service was relaxed but attentive, the food was glorious, fresh and plentiful. The drinks were varied, beautifully made and served quickly. The atmosphere was very relaxed, we felt right at home. Not too noisy but ambient enough not to feel stuffy. The table was roomy, especially for 9 and we had plenty of room. All in all it was a very enjoyable visit and I would most definitely recommend.

We were looking for an alternative to normal Sunday menu and we came across the white swan, I’m normally suspicious of such an extensive menu, but I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed my generous smoked duck dish with accompanying rice and crackers. My mum really enjoyed her salmon dish. No room for puds. The roasts that we could see being served looked very good.

Nice pub, good food, parking is a little tricky though don’t use the Red lion car park as you can get a ticket and a £60 fine

Aside from pho, you can also expect to find amazing starters, healthy salads, hearty rice bowls and decadent curries. The Red Lion offers an extensive and interesting drinks menu and the food is always delicious with a varied menu to suit all tastes. The staff are professional and knowledgable, as well as, welcoming and friendly. There is also a choice of places to sit ,both inside and outside in the garden. I highly recommend a visit!
