Where do I even start?! The staff were super friendly and informative with each exquisite dish that was brought to the table. The food was insanely delicious, you could absolutely tell it was fresh that day and the flavour was just out this world!! If I could, I would absolutely eat there every night. Highly recommend this amazing restaurant - worth the price and you’re missing out big time if you don’t agree or haven’t been!! Do yourself a favour and get yourself down, you won’t regret it.

Every aspect of our experience was faultless. The food was sublime, excellent quality and full of taste. Lovely ambience and excellent service which is attentive but considerate. The early bird menu is excellent value for money, if you love good quality food that’s perfectly cooked then go no further than Townhouse.

About the restaurant
We’re big on warmth, low on fussiness: stripped wood floors, high bar stools, painted brickwork and comfy leather banquettes. Sup your pint beside our polished-oak bar or tuck yourself away in the Snug behind the frosted glass partition. You can hear yourself talk, concentrate on the crossword or nod off quietly in the corner.

To help keep everyone safe, our teams will continue to wear face masks and we'd love you to do the same when nentering and moving around the pub and dining room.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding and we look forward to seeing you.

About the restaurant
21’s cooking is big on flavour and short on fuss. We’re talking about a style which embraces the seasons and where the ingredients are king. Expect to find stylish, imaginative dishes – which don’t pander to fads or fashion…………and still have room for pudding. Expect a warm welcome, generous hospitality and service that is both friendly and correct.

A city centre restaurant with a city centre buzz. In the heart of Newcastle's Quayside, 21 has an excitement and warmth all of its own. Smart but not stuffy, sleek but not pretentious, fun but not gimmicky - It's about eating good food in comfortably stylish surroundings.

Menus include Lunch and Early Evening Fixed Price, Five Course Seasonal and à la Carte.

Visited Blackfriars following our daughter's graduation ceremony. Restaurant was nice and cool on a very hot day. Food was lovely and the service was impeccable. We had the paired wines with all three courses and the choices were well thought out and complemented the dishes really well. Our host took the time to explain what each wine was and how it matched the food. Can't fault anything, a nice afternoon was had by all.

Everything great as usual. Special mention for the black pudding scotch egg and the halibut. Beautiful food, beautifully cooked. The guy who served us couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and the courses were served with just the right time in between. A top notch dining experience. Top marks.
