Excellent pizza - we had the Starsky and the Hawaiian style. The Caesar salad was outstanding! Service was topnotch as well!

The food and servers are fantastic. Excellent choice of options. The meal starts with an awesome salad, followed by a great antre and side. It is a little bit expensive for Locust, but it is so worth it.

Chef Ford Fry and Chef Kevin Maxey, together designed a “Mex-Tex” menu that plays to their own Texan roots, tracing the beginnings of the cuisine to the 1930s, when Mexican cooks first doctored up their dishes to suit a “Gringo” palate with Americanized elements, giving birth to the Tex-Mex dialogue. “Kevin and I wanted to do food we like to eat,” Fry said. “It’s natural for a chef to want to be true to a certain culture, and likewise, we wanted to do authentic Tex-Mex, because it developed where we’re from.

Let us start with the good: We had fajitas for 2 with chicken, steak and carnitas and it was delicious! Our server Tatiana was fantastic! The bad: I’ve noticed the last couple of times we’ve been there that the service bar is extremely slow! It take way too long to get drinks when you order them from the dining room. The ugly: I don’t know if it’s a staffing issue or what but some tables the entire time we were there never got bussed, I mean the table next to us never got cleaned and we were there a solid 45 minutes. All over the restaurant empty tables sat full of dirty dishes etc… It’s a horrible look!

This was my second visit after a birthday visit for my wife last month. My daughter treated me to lunch for Father's Day. The service, food quality and overall meal was excellent, the best Italian food I've ever eaten in Charlotte. Angela's is now our favorite Italian restaurant!
